Chapter 27

‘‘Isn't there really no marriage certificate?’’ She thought.

Anika was immersed in the worry that the divorce would be torn apart in the future.

She nodded her head apathetically and said, "Keep it after you share it with him.If you lose it during thedivorce, it would be very troublesome.’

Zac gritted his teeth.

"Anika, you've only been married for half a month and you're already thinking of divorce?"

When Anika raised her head, she realized that Zac was smiling strangely, and his eyes were filled withmockery.

She paused for a moment and subconsciously explained, "No, I was just afraid you would lose yourmarriage certificate. And you showed them your certificate today.I don't want to get a divorce sooner orlater, it’s embarrassing"

Originally, he didn't care about what happened after the divorce.

‘Yet now that he showed his evidence, if he divorced soon, wouldn't Gavyn and Lucy see them as ajoke?’

"Oh?"

Zac raised his eyes and put down the chopsticks in his hand.

He looked at her with his arms crossed, "You mean you don't want to get divorced too soon?"

Anika glanced at her eyebrows.

She always felt that there was something wrong with his words, but there seemed to be nothing wrong.

At least at this moment, she really didn't want to get divorced so soon.

Zac smiled and said indifferently, "Nika, as long as the two of us get along fairly well, it's not that I can't-"

"Consider postponing it’ "What! Delay?"

Inside the beauty salon, Anika was lying on the beauty bed with her eyes closed, doing a spa with herfriends.

After Anika said that the divorce had been postponed, Alena was surprised and the mask on her facealmost collapsed.

"That's what he said’ Anika said.

The reason Zac put forward was very simple.

The continuation of the marriage was beneficial to both of them.

For him, the image of a married man can help stabilize his share price.

As for Anika, not getting divorced could help her avoid a lot of trouble.

As long as she and Zac didn't separate, Oliver would have some misgivings.

She had helped him, and he had promised to further promote his cooperation with Madam Stevens andhelp her when she needed it.

Up to now, their relationship inside their marriage was quite pleasant.

As long as there was no objection, they could consider signing another extension agreement after theexpiration date.

Nataly said quietly, "You two don't have a date, so Mrs.Hill should take the seat.Although Zac is a bitarrogant, I'm quite impressed with him this time."

She was still talking about Anika being kidnapped by Kayden and Lucy half a month ago.

Although it was a false alarm, Zac was still somewhat responsible for rushing over that day.

This matching husband was better than Kayden's ex-fiancée.

"That's right. But after Nika got married, she got a license and cohabited. Now, she doesn’t even have adivorce.I'm the only one left.’

On weekends, Alena often went to Anika's apartment to borrow things.

Now that Anika had moved to Zac's place, she felt empty at the weekend.

"Then you should be in love.’

Nataly couldn't help but tease her, and then suddenly said, "Oh right, Director Adam's heroine hasbeen changed to Sam Collins."

Alena instantly changed the topic, "Lucy's temper didn't change?"

"Trouble?"

Nataly chuckled, "Kayden is still lying in the hospital. How can he have the time to care about heraffairs?"

When Brandon returned home, he told her that Kayden's injuries this time were really not light.

Moreover, he did not cooperate with the doctor's treatment.

So far, he had not been discharged from the hospital.

Nataly knew what her husband meant.

He wanted to persuade Anika to visit Kayden in the hospital, but Nataly did not want to persuade her atall.

Alena supported her mask and her chin moved slightly, "Last time, the live broadcast was so big, butnow Lucy's image has plummeted."

After the kidnapping, Morgan and his accomplices went to jail and found out that Morgan's son hadtaken the medicine because he couldn't hold on to the treatment.

Actually, the doctor had already told Morgan about this possibility, but the father had lost his mind andcould not accept that his son had abandoned him, so he had to replace a paranoid perpetrator.

Kayden became that unlucky guy.

Because of this kidnapping, Lucy was labeled a mistress.

Although her fans were still using bullshit love to beautify her, Kayden’s statement later directly deniedher relationship with Lucy.

Alena felt that this was because of Kayden’s sudden change of sexual preference.

She thought that he abused the bitch.

Thinking of this, she tilted her head slightly and said, "Nika, what triggered Kayden's statement?"

"I don't know."

Anika was too lazy to think about Kayden's attitude towards Lucy.

Nataly sneered, "What is the most annoying thing about men? They wake up to their senses.Theaffection that comes late is cheaper than grass."

After she finished speaking, she took her bag from the shelf and took out two chapters of the invitationcoupon.

"Please spare time for this show next week."

Anika stretched out her hand and took it.

As expected, it was Nataly's design brand BING's new summer fashion show.

This year it was set for next weekend, so she had time.

Anika nodded and replied, "Don't worry.”

Nataly stretched out her hand and gave her a heart-to-heart look.

"Nika, do you know Zac's stepmother? She will be there next week as well?"

Nika patted her with her eyes closed as if she suddenly remembered something.

Anika was stunned.

She had heard about the Hill Family back then.

HY Real Estate had just taken over the LW Development Project.

Before construction started, a billion dollars of government-funded flowing water disappeared, andZac's father was charged with embezzlement.

Zac's stepmother, Georgia Burks, quickly divorced Zac's father after he was imprisoned.

She took away the remaining money of the Hill Family and married another person.

In order to take care of his grandfather, who had suffered a stroke, Zac had suspended school for ayear.

The man, who was once full of spirits, had fallen to the point that he needed to work in order to collecthis tuition fees.

If Georgia hadn't married another man at that time, she might have become her mother-in-law’s name.

Anika pondered silently.

She didn't know what Zac's attitude towards Georgia was right now.

It was Sunday in the blink of an eye.

Today was the debut of BING's new fashion show.

Fashion shows were all instances when celebrities stepped into the spotlight, despite the fact that itwas a formal event.

Anika wore low-key and lovely outfit with light makeup since she didn't want to draw attention toherself.

The Misty Bridge Convention and Exhibition Center will host the fashion show.

Anika's car, which had been pursued the previous time, had been fixed.

She didn't ask Zac to drive her as she could see he was about to go.

She drove to Alena’s house to fetch her up.

Despite the fact that her car had been repaired, she occasionally rode in Zac's Bentley to and fromwork.

She felt a need for the two of them to display their affection around him, and Anika was delighted to getthis service.

Now that Anika was always cooking, he was doing it as a favor.

He seemed to enjoy Anika's cooking and began to eat at home more frequently.

Zac was fully aware that he had always been the one to wash the dishes, much to Anika's relief.

Although this person's personality was still untamed, he did have a demeanor at times.

The two of them seemed to be getting along better and better.

After their one-year contract expired, it was possible to deduce that the deal would be renewed.

Anika's car, a Macan, was parked in the center of the hall's parking lot.

Anika and Alena exited the car and walked towards the stadium where the fashion show wasscheduled to take place.

She had been kidnapped and sold by human traffickers at the time, spent nearly half a year wanderingaround with them, and then spent another half a month in a southern county.

A festival was taking place at the time.

When Nataly went out to get a burger for the kids with the dean's mother, she came across Anika, whohad been drugged by human traffickers.

Something didn't feel right to her.

She and the dean's mother secretly contacted the police after seeing the trafficker carry Anika insidethe guesthouse.

Anika was only successfully rescued after that.

However, the two traffickers who had been apprehended were no longer the ones she had beenfollowing, thus she had no way of knowing where she came from.

She was taken and sold when she was less than four years old.

There was no evidence of her other than her own name.

As a result, the police could only send her to an orphanage.

The days in the orphanage were much better than when they were hiding with traffickers.
