Chapter 61 Hired The Wrong Man

Fabio's mind went completely blank when he heard the loud bang and saw Grant wailing on the ground. He felt as if he had seen a ghost. "Y-You... How is this possible?"

Grant was considered a good fighter among all the people he knew. Yet, Christopher had defeated him with just a punch and made him scream in pain. "Come on, Fabio! Didn't you want to beat me up? I'm right here!" Christopher growled, a sharp glint in his eyes.

"I... You..." Fabio was intimidated at once.

He broke out in a cold sweat, his legs trembling.

Christopher had survived countless battles and killed millions of people, and those who had died in his hands were undoubtedly ruthless fighters.

One glance at Christopher was enough to scare Fabio out of his wits.

He couldn't help but recall how Christopher had sent him flying as far as six meters with just a kick.

"You were screaming quite joyfully just now, weren't you?" Christopher said disdainfully, looking at him.

Fabio said in a quavering voice, "W-What do you want, Christopher? Don't be too arrogant. My men are coming right now. I'll show you what I've got when they're here!"

So what if Christopher can fight? After my men have arrived, he won't be able to fight them all alone! He'll be half dead by then!

At the thought of it, he became confident again as a trace of arrogance crept upon his face.

Christopher laughed and said, "All right. I can't wait to see what you've got."

A van pulled over at that moment, and a few burly men got out. Looking around the residential area, their leader grumbled, "D*mn it! Why are we in this residential area again? This place gives me bad luck!" "Boss, it sounds like Grant," one of his lackeys said furiously.

"Come with me. I want to see who's beating up my men!"

Hearing that hoarse voice from afar, Fabio ran toward the leader of the men and said in excitement, "You're finally here! That's the idiot! He beat up Grant and threatened to beat you up too!"

"D*mn it! You" When the burly leader finally saw Christopher's face clearly, he was appalled. That was because the leader was none other than Stanley, who had gone to Christopher's house to collect a debt a few days ago.

Mr. Yaeger is the friend of our general manager! I was almost fired previously because of offending him. If he hadn't let us go in the end, even my brother would have been stripped of his position as the manager! This is too embarrassing!

Fabio did not notice the change in Stanley's expression. Seeing that the latter had arrived with his men, he said fearlessly, "Christopher, you useless piece of trash! Aren't you good at fighting? Come " Slap!

Before Fabio could finish his sentence, Stanley had landed a hefty kick on him from the back. Fabio groaned in pain and kneeled on the ground. He turned around subconsciously and saw Stanley's foot behind him.

"W-What are you doing, Stanley? I paid to hire you!" Fabio was utterly stunned.

"D*mn it! Do you think you're superior just because you're rich? Beat him up!" Upon hearing Stanley's order, the men around him beat Fabio up at once. Blood-curdling screeches escaped Fabio's mouth, and he felt exceptionally aggrieved.

Clearly, I asked for Christopher to be beaten up. Why am I the one suffering now?

Stanley hurried to Christopher's side and said respectfully, "Mr. Yaeger, it's a misunderstanding. I didn't know it was you."

Then, he shouted at the others, "Remember to address him as Mr. Yaeger the next time you see him!"

His men stopped what they were doing and shouted in unison, "Mr. Yaeger!"

Christopher was speechless. He had gained many lackeys out of nowhere. However, he could only nod, as he didn't intend to put the blame on Stanley.

Seeing that, Stanley finally let out a sigh of relief. Thank god! Mr. Yaeger is Mr. Santos' friend! I can't afford to offend him again!

Fabio was flabbergasted. Isn't Christopher a retired soldier?

Stanley turned around and grabbed Fabio's hair. He roared, "D*mn it! How dare you ask me to beat Mr. Yaeger up! Are you tired of living? Apologize to him now!" With tears rolling down his cheeks, Fabio choked out, "I don't get it, Stanley. I hired you!"

"How dare you argue with me?" Stanley exploded, then slapped Fabio several times.
