94 Bonus Chapter 2 Reese POV

I'm just finishing up paperwork when my door opens and my very pregnant, beautiful mate steps inside. After our visit to see the pups, she is even more anxious to have ours. Unlike Rosalyn and Beck, we couldn't wait to replace out what the twins will be. We are having two girls and the pack doctor believes they will both be hybrids.

I really didn't care if they were boys or girls as long as they are healthy. I think if I've learned one thing watching my mother, my mate, Miranda, Addie, and Rosalyn in action, it is that my daughters will be amazing Alphas. I will have no problem passing them the title when the

time comes.

Mindy makes her way around the desk and comes to stand in front of me so I can greet our daughters. I place my hands on both sides of her belly. "How are my girls this morning?" "Were good but mommy is ready to hold her pups outside this body" she says and I chuckle. "I'm sure it's going to happen any day sweets." "You have been saying that for two weeks" she

says.

I know she is getting uncomfortable, and I wish there was something more I could do to help her. "Is there anything I can do right now to help you feel better? 'She smiles and bends to press a kiss on my lips. "Reese, you have been amazing. Rubbing my back, my feet, and waiting on me. I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful mate even though I'm whining" she

says.

"You are not whining. You are growing two pups. You are amazing and have every right to

complain when you are uncomfortable." "Thank you, Reese." I stand up and press another kiss on her lips. A knock on the door startles us both. "Come in," I call out. The door opens and Chelsey steps inside. "Alpha, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I was hoping I could speak to you and the Luna." "Chelsey, you aren't interrupting anything important. You are always welcome to come to speak to either of us" Mindy says.

I smile because my mate is an amazing Luna. "I really am not trying to start trouble, but I

overheard a conversation that I thought you should know about" Chelsey says. Fallon is

pushing to the surface. We both know that Mindy can protect herself, but it doesn't make us any less overprotective. "I overheard Amber telling Morgan that her cousin was banished from the Blue Crescent because she pretended she was f**king Alpha Beckham," Chelsey says.

Rosalyn." She nods and we turn back to Chelsey. "She told Morgan she had planned to do the

same thing with you, but she hadn't had the chance yet. She seems to think that witches won't

feel the betrayal pains so you'll believe that the Alpha cheated because of what he did to Rosalyn," she says.

It's 

my turn to growl. These two b**ches plotted to destroy the bond of two Alpha couples.

Fallon wants blood, but we need to calm down before we go to replace that b**ch. "What did Morgan have to say when Amber was telling her all of this" Mindy asks. "Honestly, she seemed shocked. I've noticed she has been trying to distance herself from Amber. I'm not saying she still isn't a mean girl, but I don't think she wants any part of Amber and her cousin's plans. I also think Amber told her cousin she could come here to stay since she was banished," Chelsey says.

I pull Mindy onto my lap. She dials Rosalyn and puts the call on speaker. After Rosalyn tells us everything that happened with Brittany, we disconnect the call. "I can't believe those two. I will never understand these women who want what wasn't theirs to have" Mindy says as she rubs her belly.

"Are you alright sweets?" "I'm fine. I just want to deal with those two. I won't have them around after our pups are born. I dont' trust them" she says. "I won't let anyone hurt you or the pups, Mindy." "I know Reese" she says, and presses a soft kiss on my lips. I help Mindy to stand, and we make our way through the pack house.

As much as I wish Mindy would let me handle this, I know that she won't agree. When we reach Amber's parent's house, I knock twice before taking a step back. When the door opens, Amber's mother immediately bears her neck. "Alpha and Luna, I wasn't expecting you. Is everything alright" she asks.

"Actually, we are here to see Amber. Is she here," Mindy asks. "She is. I'll get her for you?" We step inside and take a seat on the couch while Amber's mother goes to get her. An unfamiliar scent invades my nose and I immediately know that b**ch that Rosalyn banished is in my pack. Fallon is pacing. She might not be a direct threat to my mate, but he doesn't want her anywhere near Mindy.

Amber steps into the room wearing a revealing dress and I roll my eyes. "Alpha, you wanted to see me" she says, never acknowledging Mindy. I growl, and she drops her gaze to the ground. "Yes, I've heard some very disturbing news this morning. Her mother steps out and looks at Amber. "What have you done" she asks.

"Mrs. Thorn is your niece in my pack right now?"She looks at me confused before she finally 2/4

answers. "Yes, Alpha, we reported her to the gate. She asked to visit, and I didn't see the harm in it since she is from an allied pack." "You did nothing wrong, Mrs. Thorn, however your daughter and niece are both in trouble. Can you bring her out here please?

She is gone for seconds before she drags a blonde woman out to stand next to Amber. "You are Brittany I presume." Her eyes snap to mine and fear flashes in them. "Yes, Alpha." Before I can say another word, Mindy groans grabbing her stomach. "Luna are you alright" Mrs. Thorn asks. I don't give her a chance to answer, and I'm scooping her up in my arms. "Mrs. Thorn, both of these girls plotted to destroy an Alpha's bond. Guards will be taking them to the cells until I can deal with them when my mate is done giving birth."

"Of course, Alpha. I am so sorry" she says before she heads toward her daughter. I don't have time to see what happens, but I'm sure I hear a slap before the door closes behind me. I link the guards to take the two girls to the cells as I run Mindy to the hospital. She groans again. and liquid splashes down the front of me.

When we reach the hospital, the nurses immediately take her to a room. "Mom, Mindy is in labor. Can you bring me clothes and get here?" "Of course, Barrett and I are on our way" she says and cuts the link. I take a seat next to her bed and take her hand in mine. "I'm sorry my water broke all over you" she says as another pain hits. "Mindy, focus on breathing. We are about to meet our pups and I couldn't care less that your water broke on me."

She smiles and squeezes my hand when the pain returns. "They are coming really fast. Isn't it supposed to start out slow? That's what the books said." "I don't know Reese, but I'm scared," Mindy says. I lean up and put my forehead to hers. "You are one of the strongest women I know. You can do this sweets. Just think soon we will be holding our daughters."A tear rolls

down her cheek and I wipe it away.

The door opens and the doctor steps inside. "Luna, I'm going to check you to see how dilated you are. How long have you had the pains?" I notice Mindy is reluctant to answer. "Since last night but they weren't consistent" she finally says. "Mindy, why didn't you tell me? We would have come here last night." "They were to far apart, and they weren't strong," she says.

"Well, the good news, Luna, is you are already eight centimeters," the doctor says. A few minutes later the door bangs open and my mother rushes inside. "I'm here Mindy. How are you feeling? Can I do anything for you to make you more comfortable," she says, not even acknowledging me. "Hello to you to mom," I say with a smirk. "Are you in labor? Are you about to pass a watermelon through a lemon hole? No I didn't think so" she says.

Mindy giggles, but it quickly fades as she groans in pain. Barrett steps into the room and hands me the clothes I asked for. Once the doctor checks Mindy, she is ready to push. My mom and Barrett leave to go to the waiting room. "Alpha, I need you to help the Luna push." I

climb behind her into the bed, and she starts to push. I couldn't tell you how much time passed before we heard the first cries. Our daughter came screaming into the world.

Lillian Maureen Orick was born only five minutes before her sister, who followed with cries. just as loud. Iris Rose Orick was identical to her sister. Both given middle names of women who profoundly affected both our lives. My mother, despite her disappointment in me, stood by my side and accepted my beautiful second chance.

I know some would think it was strange to give our daughter my first mate's name but Mindy insisted. As she said, without Rose's forgiveness, there would never have been us. I am grateful every day that my life has turned out the way it has despite my stupidity and selfishness. I will love my mate until my last breath and I will teach my pups the importance of respecting the mate bond because I refuse for them to make my mistakes.

Two Days Later

I step in front of the cell that holds twiddle dee and twiddle dumb. "Alpha, please let us out. We haven't done anything wrong," Amber pleads when she finally sees me. "Unfortunately, for both of you, tampering with an Alpha's bond is a crime punishable by banishment. Now, since Brittany was already banished from her pack, I'm going to do one better. I will be calling the royal representative to put you both on the registry, so no pack in the northern kingdom will grant you entrance. As of today you will both be rogues."
