“So you all three going to leave tonight?” Sophia asked, feeling sad.

“Yeah, Mom. I left the shoot in the middle to visit here. And why are you feeling sad? I will be back after wrapping up the shoot.” Tiara said, kissing her mother’s cheek to cheer her up. Sophia looked at Liara, who gave the reason for her study, and Calvin had a pack to run.

“We will be back for the wedding.” Liara said.

“And at that time, we won’t come like a guest just a day before the wedding.” Calvin winked at her.

“Don’t be sad, Mom. Both Artin and I will stay with you until my wedding.” Caroline said, on which Artemis winced at her words.

‘Does that mean that our mate and our pup will stay away from us at least for three weeks?’ Bolt muttered.

‘Umm… yeah!! Don’t worry, from our home to hers; we just have to travel for three hours. We can manage that long journey, right?’

‘Yes!! Anything for love.’

“And I’m going to pamper my baby more than anything,” Sophia said, pinching her cheek.

“Artin, see… she just pinched my cheek, and it hurts. Ahhh.” Caroline faked and cried. Artin, who was sitting on her lap, immediately became concerned for his mother. To check his reaction, Sophia tried to pinch her cheek again.

“Stay… way!!” He said, pushing Sophia away for Caroline.

“A*!! He is such a momma’s boy.” Tiara laughed when Artin hugged Caroline to protect her. “BIL, does he push you away from Caro too?”

“Not yet!!” Artemis chuckled. “But I think if she will fake her cries and he won’t let me close to my own mate,” he added, on which everyone laughed. Artemis spent that day with all Caroline’s family members, knowing in better and the area they work.

At night!!

“I didn’t ask in front of everyone, but where is your ring, and why have you removed it?”

Artemis knew that this would come sooner or later. Caroline didn’t get a chance to ask it last night because of passionate lovemaking, and then since morning, they spent their time with the family. “There is something that I don’t want to share with you at this moment. That’s why I have removed it for a while.”

“Okay!!”

“Okay?” Artemis asked in shock, thinking whether he was hearing it right because Caroline said ‘okay’ so casually as if it wasn’t a big deal.

“Yes, okay!! Remember the night when you confronted me about my lie? You also told me that it is not important to share each and everything with your partner. Sometimes, you can keep it to yourself and say that you don’t want to share instead of lying.”

“That’s why. It’s okay.” Caroline said, wrapping her arms around her mate. “I just hope that whatever you’re hiding is nothing to do with dad. I mean, it’s quite shocking that dad didn’t drug you and….”

“Your father is the best father any daughter can have,” Artemis said, cutting her in between. “So, don’t think about him keeping any condition in front of me. Just like you said, he is overprotective but not a villain.”

“And even my close ones judged you in the beginning and took your test by keeping an eye on you, so the score is settled,” Artemis told her. ‘By the way, what kind of wedding do you want? I told dad that I would be fulfilling your dream wedding. Little did I know that you want a grand wedding, but what about location?”

“I can believe that this is happening for real?”

“Then believe it.” Artemis said and gave her a passionate k**s before adding, “Now tell me your wish, my queen; I will make sure to fulfill it.”

“It might cost you a lot.”

“Tell me, babe.”

“Okay! Okay! You proposed to me under the water. So, I want to marry above the water on a cruise.” Caroline told him with excitement. “And bride entry will her father will be in the chopper.” She expressed. Artemis liked that idea. “Except this, I don’t know much about it. After all, I’m not a wedding planner,” she joked.

“Okay then, I will be the best wedding planner and will give them this project; what do you say?”

“Perfect.”

“Hold on!! One of the Cornell’s is in wedding planning, isn’t it? Aunt Becca told me about it today.”

“Yes, that’s true. I will have to talk with Rafael to check if he is free to take our wedding project on such short notice. He is the nephew of Aunt Rebecca, so we’re not that close, like Steve and Charlotte.”

“I understand, but nothing will go wrong in checking with him, right?” Artemis suggested. “Now that I have already met with your family. I want to meet your best friend, Dylan. I have heard a lot about him.” he added because he knew that his family was coming tomorrow and his mom had to talk something about Caroline’s real parents with her current parents.

All he could hope was that nothing wrong would go wrong because that would be the last thing he would ever want.
