Chapter 1666 Too Wrong

When Athena and Byron arrived in a hurry, Gideon was sent to the ward.

His illness came on fast and violently, and he was already showing symptoms of multiple organ failure.

"We will observe the patient in the ICU first. He seems to have no will to survive," the attending physician said solemnly, "Did something happen to the patient?"

Eleanor was stunned.

She covered her chest and bent down, not answering the physician's words.

Seeing this, Nicolas quickly took out two quick-acting heart-relief pills for her.

Athena said a few words to the attending physician, and the physician went to deal with other things.

"How could this happen!" Eleanor was supported by her husband and sat on a chair in the corridor. After a while, she covered her face and sobbed, "Gideon was born with a difficult labor. I raised him and treated him like a treasure. How could he lose his will to survive just because of a woman..."

Athena didn't expect that Gideon's illness would develop so severely.

Hearing what Eleanor said again, she got angry and asked, "Things have already happened. Do you still want to blame it on Sally?"

Eleanor's hands trembled.

Although Nicolas knew that his wife was really wrong this time, hearing what Athena said, he instinctively stood up and defended her wife, "Mrs. Crawford, my wife is already in great pain, so could you..."

"Mr. Hale, have you ever thought about why your wife is so domineering?" Athena looked at Nicolas and began questioning him, "It's because you, father and son, both obey her for no reason. For what Gideon become today, there are reasons of his own, but his mother is also to blame! But even now, she still wants to blame it on Sally. Can't I say something about it?"

Nicolas's face was gloomy, and he glanced at Byron behind Athena.

Nicolas moved his lips but didn't dare to answer back.

"Yes, Mrs. Crawford, you're right. It's my fault!" Eleanor suddenly reached out and grabbed Athena's hand like a drowning person was grabbing a life buoy. "Please help us for the sake of Gideon. Please tell Sally to come and see him, give him the will to survive. I only have one son, Gideon, and he is still young, so he can't just die like this!"

Athena frowned and said, "Sally and Elijah went to the Amazon jungle for vacation when we left. Neither of them planned to bring communication tools with them this time. I couldn't contact her." Eleanor's pupils trembled suddenly, and her expression became even more flustered.

She held Athena's hand and said, "Mrs. Crawford, you are a good person. Help Gideon. I beg you!"

As she said that, she slid from the chair to the ground and knelt for Athena.

"Eleanor!"

Nicolas hurried forward, trying to pull his wife up.

"Byron! You are so powerful. You can definitely replace Sally. You and Gideon grew up together. Please do me a favor! Please do me a favor!" Eleanor cried heartbreakingly.

She was out of breath. She rolled her eyes and passed out.

Just like that, it was another turmoil.

Before Gideon was out of danger, Eleanor was sent to the ICU again.

Nicolas followed, and Athena also went to Gideon's ward with Byron. They looked inside through the observation glass of the ICU.

Gideon looked even thinner in two days than he was at the wedding.

There was no sight of liveliness in him.

Gideon had tubes inserted all over his body and medical equipment all around him to support his life.
