Chapter 1725 Aron's Heart

"Oh right, I'm sorry, Evie, I forgot that your family had such a big incident. I was just talking nonsense earlier!" Beatrice interjected with a face of feigned apology even before her mother finished speaking. Daphne wished she could give her a kick.

"Spreading rumors isn't a good thing." Evie stared at Beatrice. "Haven't you heard the rumors online? People say I have a wretched temper. And with my husband and family spoiling me, when I lose my temper, I even scare myself!"

Beatrice's expression stiffened.

"Next time you spread nonsense in front of me, I might just take action. Then you'll be crying to Aron for help!" Evie continued.

She originally had an innocent and non-threatening appearance, without any aggressiveness.

Saying such things only made her sound even more sarcastic.

"You!"

It was the first time Beatrice had seen Evie.

She appeared slightly younger in person than she did in the online photos.

The people online had previously leaked information.

She had been bullied severely in her previous home.

Beatrice assumed that she could easily manipulate her.

She didn't expect Evie to be so sharp-tongued!

"Sorry, sorry!" Daphne gave Beatrice a pull. "The new bride is right. This child has been spoiled by us. I'll scold her properly when we get back! You two go for a walk! You go for a walk! I won't disturb you!" Daphne then pulled a reluctant-looking Beatrice and turned back to walk.

Walking a little farther, Daphne lowered her voice and scolded, "Did you directly pour old vinegar into your brain? In front of Athena, you dared to show an attitude to Evie? Haven't you heard what others say? The Stella family is not to be trifled with because they have a strong tendency to get revenge!"

"How strong could their ruthlessness be? Would they make my whole family die just because I rolled my eyes at them?" Beatrice was full of anger. "That despicable Evie, what methods did she use to deceive Aron into marrying her? Did you see her sarcastic tone just now?"

"Enough!" Daphne scolded her daughter with frustration, "Can you learn something from your mother and have some patience? When your father and I were together, he was with that wretched Emily's mother too, right? And where are they now?"

Beatrice fell silent.

Daphne continued, "In this world, there's no cat that doesn't steal fish. Don't focus your thoughts on Aron's wife. Focus on Aron himself. As long as you win over Aron's heart, that woman won't matter much. Do you understand?"

Beatrice responded with a displeased voice.

Who would want to start as a third party?

But now, there really was no other way!

"Mom, it's all your fault!" Beatrice was quite angry. "If you had kept a closer watch, how could Aron have married someone else?"

"Who knew he would be in such a hurry to get married without even finishing his studies!" Daphne paused for a moment. "I always feel like Emily is behind this. Who doesn't know that Aron is the most likely to inherit the family business in the Timberlake family? She's trying to prevent us from living better lives than her and from climbing higher in status!"

Emily actually married the eldest son of the Timberlake family in Northern Canakey. Even after more than a decade, Daphne still couldn't understand or accept this fact.

Sometimes, in the middle of the night, the thought of it was so infuriating that she couldn't close her eyes!

Clearly, she had meticulously planned and infuriated Emily's wretched mother, deliberately not encouraging her to pursue her education.

If it weren't for that time when Emily's grandmother suddenly came to the Quinn family and took Emily away.

She would have married off Emily to just any family and collected an engagement gift long ago.

The year Emily was taken away, she had even set her sights on a man who was eighteen years older than Emily and had suffered from poliomyelitis!
