Chapter 1749 Lead a Normal Life

Lucia glanced at Kunce.

If Athena let them go, she and Kunce would replace a place where no one knew and lived the most ordinary life of an average couple. It seemed to be the best ending she could imagine. In this way, Kunce could also survive.

"There will be no more traitors in the future," Lucia said softly, "Kunce, we will never have the kind of days of licking blood and fighting!"

Kunce looked at the woman he had admired since he was young.

Lucia lost her former youthful vigor, her hair turned white, and wrinkles appeared on her face.

But in Kunce's eyes, there was no difference between her and the girl who suddenly broke into his world that spring.

"Rose..." Kunce said with difficulty.

"It's all over." Lucia had tears in her eyes. "From now on, we will be the most ordinary couple, and there will be no tycoons and powerful people anymore."

Kunce panted heavily. "But how can you live an ordinary life?"

"Why not?" Lucia almost broke her defense.

Lucia had been persuading Kunce to escape, but Kunce refused.

So was it because he didn't want her to live a life of escape?

Kunce did everything for her, but she always regarded him as a tool for revenge or a haven to escape reality.

Lucia thought of Heather again.

In the beginning, when she left Yetaly to come to Kunce, she was also utterly disappointed in her only daughter.

So she chose to only care about herself and gave up protecting her?

Lucia didn't want to make the same mistake again.

The two crossed the boundary line with difficulty.

The vicious mercenary stood on the other side of the line, looking at them with cold eyes. "I repeat Ms. Chelsea's words for the last time. It is your only chance to live and grow old together." Lucia put away her tenderness towards Kunce, looking up at the mercenary. "Please tell her for me, too."

Lucia paused for a moment.

"Thanks," Lucia said.

Apart from thanks, there seemed to be nothing else to say.

"If you want to thank her, be quiet." The mercenary raised his hand, pointed his index finger and middle finger to his eyes, and then pointed to them. "Ms. Chelsea is my brother's savior. She is very kind, but I am not kind. I will keep an eye on you. If you take a wrong step, I will send you to hell!"

"Don't worry. I know what's good or bad!" Lucia said.

After Lucia finished speaking, she supported Kunce and walked towards the car waiting for them.

The driver was still a mercenary in a camouflage uniform.

At the back of the car, there were two small boxes. After opening, several wads of dollars and four small gold bars were inside.

The mercenary said this was the money Athena had prepared for them.

Lucia had tears in her eyes.

In the past, a bag would cost Lucia much money.

But at this moment, Lucia's heart still couldn't restrain the emotional surge.

The person giving her a way out was the person she once wanted to kill.

After the mercenaries sent away the target people, they sent Athena a message.

[The mission is completed.]

Athena replied: [Thank you. The commission has been paid.]

Putting away the phone, Athena looked up and saw a fat carp jumping up and eating a lotus flower.
