Chapter 185 Rob the House

Athena accompanied Rose for a long time.

After Rose took medicine and fell asleep, Athena went back to her room.

She took out her phone and replied to Byron's message.

Soon, his video call came.

Athena picked it up.

Byron was still working overtime.

They chatted for a long time.

Athena began to doze off.

Seeing her drowsy appearance, Byron found she was endearing.

"Thea," he called softly.

Athena responded vaguely.

"I miss you," Byron said.

Athena was in a trance.

The habits of the past five years were still within her memory.

She responded sweetly with instinct, "I miss you too."

Byron froze immediately.

"Be good. I'll pick you up soon," he said more gently and firmly.

There was no movement from Athena.

Her breath gradually became even.

She fell asleep.

Byron didn't hang up the phone.

He processed the documents as usual. When he was tired, he glanced at Athena, feeling refreshed instantly.

Byron had never been so happy as he had been these few days.

When he first thought of breaking off the engagement, he expected countless hidden dangers and huge losses, so he immediately perished his thought. But now, when Byron really started to do it, he realized Athena was more important than those losses and hidden dangers.

Early the next morning, a call woke Athena up.

She took the phone and saw it was Maeve.

Maeve was Athena's former neighbor, who used to live in Hugo Alley.

Now only Maeve was still there.

Athena would give Maeve one thousand dollars every month and ask her to look after the old house.

For so many years, it was the first time that Maeve had taken the initiative to call.

Athena picked it up.

"Athena, take a day off and hurry back! A man who claims to be your uncle brought many people to occupy your house!" Maeve was extremely anxious.

There was a lot of noise over there.

Athena heard a sentence clearly.

"It's my parents' house. I'm their only son. They died, so the house should be mine!"

"I'll be right there!" Athena said and hung up the phone.

Athena had never heard her grandparents mention they had a son.

But Romy once said that Athena's mother was their only daughter.

Her grandparents were very responsible people. If they had a son, they would definitely not abandon him.

Athena changed her clothes and went to see Rose.

"Madam Stella, I have a family matter and must go back to deal with it."

Rose was eating breakfast. "Is it serious?"

"I don't know yet," Athena answered truthfully.

"Jaxson, take a few people and go with Athena," Rose said and didn't ask much.

After getting along with Athena during this period, Rose somewhat sensed that she was unwilling to talk too much about her family.

Although a little embarrassed, Athena really didn't know what was happening.

Bringing a few people with her was better than going alone.

Now she was the mother of two children. She could no longer take risks.

"Thank you, Madam Stella!"

"Don't mention it. Go!"

Athena then took Jaxson out with three bodyguards.

The hotel was not far from Hugo Alley.

They arrived in ten minutes.

"With me here today, unless you beat me to death, no one can enter this door!" Maeve said.

As soon as they arrived, Athena heard Maeve's trembling voice.
