Chapter 187 Old Memory

"Athena!"

At this time, George's voice sounded from behind the crowd.

Athena was taken aback.

Maeve hurriedly greeted George. "Georgie, there you are!"

Georgie was George's nickname.

"Maeve, are you okay?" George asked.

He came from the hospital and was still in the white coat.

"I'm fine!" Maeve shook her head.

"What about you?" George looked at Athena nervously.

"I'm okay. Why are you here?" Athena asked in a low voice.

"Maeve called me," George replied and then looked at those troublemakers.

Maeve explained to Athena in a low voice, "They are all strong men, and I was afraid you couldn't deal with them. Georgie visited me before and said I could call him if anything happened."

"I see," Athena said softly, "Maeve, please go back and rest. We can take care of it."

Maeve sighed, also afraid that she would be implicated if they fought.

She only had a couple of years to live, and it was not worth it to go to jail.

"Are we going to take a paternity test or what?" The man urged impatiently, mad at George's appearance.

George already had a rough idea of what happened from Maeve's call.

He glanced at Athena worriedly.

"Don't worry. I believe in my grandparents." Athena's voice was mild, but it was loud enough for everyone present to hear.

The man gritted his teeth with anger.

He thought, "Bullshit!

Even animals love their calves.

The two were obviously wealthy, but they abandoned me and never looked for me for decades.

They left me nothing after they died.

But they left the house to their granddaughter. They're not even related by blood!"

Thinking of his failures in marriage and career because of being poor, the man looked at Athena.

He once had a gold digger girlfriend.

Therefore, he knew a little about luxury.

He could tell Athena's cashmere coat was worth tens of thousands of dollars.

These should belong to him!

Not long after, Athena and the man who claimed to be her uncle completed taking blood.

Only then did Athena know the man was called Tyler Olsen.

Tyler was in a hurry and spent extra money to expedite it.

They would get the result tomorrow.

Before Tyler left, he sneered at Athena and said, "Keep your promise after the result is out!"

Athena didn't know what made him so confident that he believed he was her grandparents' child.

"Are you alright?" George asked gently.

Athena shook her head. "You were so busy and shouldn't have come..."

"I was afraid something would happen to you," George said in a deep voice.

Athena was a little helpless.

George was too kind to her, so kind that Athena felt overwhelmed.

"George, please go back to your work. I have bodyguards with me," Athena said.

George looked at Jaxson and the others.

His face instantly turned pale.

Athena knew that he must have misunderstood that Byron sent them here.

She thought about it but didn't explain.

As expected, George didn't say anything more. He told her to be careful and then left.

Athena called Rose and said she was fine.

Then she went back to Hugo Alley.

The lock on the courtyard door had already been rusty.

Standing in front of the lock, Athena was in a trance.

After her grandfather passed away, she and Romy moved to Girard City. After that, she only came back to Greeli City twice.

The last time was when Romy passed away.

It was not because there was something wrong with the city but because everything about it was great.

She grew up here and was cared for by her mother and grandparents.

But now, they were gone.

This place had become a restricted area for memories.
