Chapter 1885 Postpartum Depression

Evie had been restless for the past two days.

There was agitation in her heart, and she kept having the feeling that something bad was about to happen.

She even had a nightmare last night, dreaming that someone had snatched Pixie away. But before Pixie could be found, Mia and Aiden were also dragged away by a huge monster in the dark. She practically woke up crying.

Before Evie gave birth, Aron had invited a relevant psychological expert and was always on standby.

With something like this happened, Aron was worried that she was suffering from postpartum depression.

Fortunately, the psychologist didn't give such a diagnosis after examining her.

Aron had also told Athena about what happened last night so that Athena could do her utmost to comfort Evie as soon as she came.

Aron didn't want to admit it, but in certain matters, Athena was indeed the only one who could comfort his wife.

"It's good that there is no postpartum depression," Athena breathed a sigh of relief. "Then it must be because of the telepathic connection between her and Mia. Something happened to Mia here, and that's why she started to feel uneasy."

Mia was holding Athena's hand. She looked at Athena with wide eyes and said, "Evie loves me so much."

"Did you just realize it?" Athena flicked her forehead. "So, do you understand what you should now?"

Mia nodded resolutely.

Then she let go of Athena's hand and shouted with that saccharine voice, "Evie!"

And she rushed into Evie's room.

Athena laughed and shook her head, then looked at Aron. "You attend to her very well, and that's why she's always in a good mood. Don't worry."

She paused for a while before saying again with a smile, "Rather than her, I'm more worried about you getting postpartum depression."

Ever since Evie's third trimester, Aron had always been tense, and he didn't even relax a bit throughout Evie's postpartum confinement.

Evie was doing very well, yet Aron was visibly having sleep deprivation.

Meanwhile, as soon as Mia rushed into the room, Evie immediately pulled her into her arms.

They were still sticking to each other when Athena went in.

"I'll be with Pixie while you're at it," Athena teased, then she went to see Pixie, who was sleeping soundly.

Usually, Athena wouldn't hug Pixie when she was asleep.

But she would return to Girard City soon, and it would be at least a month before she could see her again.

No longer caring that Pixie was asleep, Athena carefully picked her up and let her sleep in her arms.

"Athena, you don't even know how scary the nightmare was last night!" Evie said. She was done doting on Mia, and now she moved to her next target, her godson, who was walking slowly into the room. She looked at Aiden with teary eyes and said, "Aiden, I screamed so much in my dream that my voice became hoarse!"

"Evie, it's just a dream." Aiden patted her on the shoulder lightly and said, "Dreams will always show you the opposite. If you have such a dream, it means that my sister, Pixie, and I will all be fine and healthy." Evie smacked her forehead. "That's right!"

However, Evie had smacked herself so hard that her forehead immediately turned red.

"Honey..." Aron sighed helplessly.

"Aiden has grown up now!" Evie was touched. "You even know how to comfort me!"

All of Evie's uneasiness due to the nightmare naturally evaporated after Athena and her children's arrival.

Not long after, Sally and her husband also came.

After learning about what happened to Evie and Mia, and that Evie also had such a nightmare, she sighed endlessly.

"But we can't hide these recent events from her once her confinement period ends," Sally said in a low voice, "Evie will definitely be furious with all of you."

Athena shrugged and said nonchalantly, "What else can I do? I'll just coax her by then."

Byron was leaning on a cane, walking with Elijah behind Athena and Sally.

"We plan to pass by the church on the way to Girard City," Elijah said to Byron, "You can confirm the treatment time first."

Byron glanced at the clouds in the distance.

"Forget it," he said.
