Chapter 192 A Couple in Love

They went to the door.

The snobbish man frowned and asked, "Tyler, we've come so far here. Are we just leaving like this?"

He followed Tyler here because Tyler promised that he would get a share after Tyler got the house.

Now Tyler failed.

It meant he wouldn't get anything.

The man knew Tyler very well.

Tyler often enjoyed his life and had no savings.

He might not have enough money for the ticket back.

"Leave? Why? She has no blood relationship with my parents, so the house can only be mine!"

"Then what should we do now?" The snobbish man asked.

Tyler pulled a long face.

He glanced back at the laboratory.

"They are stopping us. We have to deal with them first."

In late autumn in Greeli City, the leaves of the ginkgo trees on both sides of the street were falling.

Athena was wrapped in a wide scarf. Only her big eyes were revealed.

"I want to have a walk." She looked at Byron.

"OK." Byron nodded.

Athena looked around.

Then she took Byron to the snack street.

"Tyler probably thought that my grandparents were some kind of rich people." As they walked, Athena suddenly said mockingly.

Byron looked at her without saying a word.

Back then, when she came to him, besides her grandmother's medical expenses, she was also in huge debt.

The debt was nothing to Byron.

But for Athena at that time, it was an unbearable burden.

"When I was young, my family was pretty rich, but it changed after my grandfather got sick." Athena reached out and caught a ginkgo leaf. "We spent all the savings and were in debt. We have suffered a lot, but my grandpa still passed away after half a year."

Byron was not good at comforting others.

He raised his hand, covered Athena's head, and rubbed it gently.

"What are you doing? I'm not a puppy!" Athena raised her eyes and glared at him.

When Athena was not prepared, Byron pulled off his mask, leaned over, and kissed her on the lips.

After the kiss, Byron immediately stood up straight and put on his mask.

Athena stood there and was a little dazed.

They just acted like a couple in love.

"Was it the source of the debt?" Byron pretended calm, as if he had done nothing just now, and brought the topic back. Athena was slightly stunned.

"No." She lowered her head. "My grandma has been engaged in trade business since we came to Girard City and paid off the debt very quickly. However, there was an accident at sea, and we lost the cargo. Originally, the insurance would pay for it. My grandma's assistant embezzled the insurance money because she thought it was useless since nothing had ever happened. We used all the savings to pay for the losses and sold the house and cars."

Her grandma often comforted her.

She believed that they would make more money if they were safe.

But Grandma passed away soon.

Byron knew that Athena had suffered a poor life in the past.

Now Athena told him everything calmly.

Byron still felt a little sorry.

"Alright. Forget it." Byron comforted her softly.

"Well, I will forget it." Athena took a deep breath. "I liked the snack street when I was a child. Mr. Crawford, let me treat you."

Byron looked at Athena silently.

Her face was small. Now half of it was covered by the scarf, and only her eyes were revealed.

She was like a deer in the forest.
