My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
Chapter 1989 I'll Ask Him Later

From a day of work and catching the plane, Athena was so tired that she fell into deep sleep in Byron's arms.

Byron's head was in a mess from what had happened yesterday.

He had almost fallen off the stairs.

He was worried that the "Byron" would hurt Athena when he was caught off guard.

With that in mind, Byron didn't sleep well that night.

Fortunately, "Byron" did not appear that night.

Byron thought about it carefully and realized "Byron" showed up whenever he had a dispute with Athena or felt uneasy because of her attitude.

On the contrary, "Byron" never showed up when he and Athena were having a good time.

Byron silently memorized the pattern.

The next morning...

The servants had already prepared a sumptuous breakfast.

Athena and Byron had their first breakfast on the island in the garden downstairs.

"You have good taste. This place is really great!" Athena leaned back comfortably on the garden chair, letting the breeze blow her long hair. "Do you know why you bought it?" Byron shook his head gently.

"Because I liked it," Athena said with a smile.

"No wonder," Byron mumbled.

"No wonder what?"

"I used to like this island very much," Byron replied. "I helped Zora take Imbe Group down because I couldn't bear to lose this place."

"I can feel it!" Athena closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"Feel what?" Byron was curious.

"I can feel that you love me very much," Athena said proudly as she opened her eyes. Byron was amused by her reaction.

He got up, leaned over, and kissed her as if no one else was around. "You finally felt it." While talking, Athena suddenly glanced at Byron's new cane.

"You didn't bring a cane when you went to save that kid last time, did you?" she asked.

Byron paused for a moment before he nodded. "I left in a hurry, so I didn't bring it."

"I watched the footage of you hitting the man." Athena didn't hide it. "Your leg seems to be fine in the video."

Byron frowned.

His hand fell on his injured knee. "Now that you mention it, I remember that after being stabbed that day, I panicked and dropped my cane. I didn't use it until I got home."

"During the last checkup, the doctor had some doubts about your leg. It's clearly recovering, but you can't feel it," Athena moved the chair closer to Byron and continued, "Is it possible that your leg is recovered but for some other reason, you still can't use it?"

"You mean I have a mental disorder?" Byron asked.

Athena nodded.

"I'll ask the experts about it when we go back." Byron held Athena's hand. "Don't worry. I won't miss any of the appointments this time. No matter what the problem is, I'll fix it."

Their gazes locked, and for some reason, Athena felt gratified and safe.

As long as Byron was willing to see the shrink, she believed that there was nothing they couldn't overcome together.

"Okay," Athena replied. Then she picked up the coffee and took a sip. "By the way, did the child say when he would return to Girard City? If he returns soon, should we take him to the camping?" Byron was slightly stunned. After thinking for a moment, he answered, "I'll ask him later."
