Athena was with Byron every day. She would have noticed it if he got hurt.

"Did it happen when I came back to meet Gideon?" Athena asked.

"Yes." Byron nodded. "Why do you suddenly ask this?"

"Well... I want to know more details so that I can have more things to talk about when we meet later," Athena replied. She was not a professional psychiatrist.

And she didn't know if it would be harmful to Byron to suddenly expose his hallucination.

So now she could only pretend that she hadn't found anything because she had to figure out when the boy would appear.

Also, she had to be very cautious about the treatment because this was no ordinary psychological problem.

After all, Ennis didn't know Byron long enough. Athena might have to choose a more reliable and confidential team to treat Byron. Athena's mind was a mess. She tried her best to calm down and replace the clue quickly to sort out the mess.

They waited for a while, but the boy didn't come.

Byron called, but no one picked up.

So, Byron stopped waiting and called the waiter to order.

"Let's not wait anymore. You're not feeling well. We'll eat first," Byron said to Athena.

Athena could tell that Byron was very worried and anxious now.

"Perhaps they were delayed by something." Athena comforted him softly.

Byron looked at her and nodded lightly.

Then, he glanced at the phone again.

Byron waited until they finished eating, but his little friend didn't show up.

When they were about to leave, Byron went to the bathroom.

The boy finally called.

Byron immediately picked up and said, "What's the matter with you? My wife has been waiting for you for more than two hours. Didn't you say you would arrive soon?" "Mr. Crawford, I'm sorry. I have an urgent situation here." The boy sounded like he was about to cry. "Please apologize to your wife for me."

"What happened?" Byron asked quickly.

The boy was silent for a moment and said, "No... it's nothing. I won't leave Girard City anymore. Next time, I'll invite you and your wife to dinner and apologize to her in person!" "Kid, did they beat you again?" Byron asked in a deep voice.

"No, no!" he said quickly.

"Where are you? I'm going there with my wife now!" Byron said in a domineering voice.

"You really don't have to come. I'm hanging up, and I'll contact you later!"

With that said, the boy hung up the phone.

Byron was anxious and accidentally scratched his hand on a broken piece of porcelain on the edge of the sink.

A long wound suddenly appeared on the back of his hand, and blood oozed out.

Byron quickly turned on the water and washed the wound.

But he accidentally dropped the phone. With a loud noise, it landed on a corner, and the screen immediately broke into pieces.

Athena waited for him outside the bathroom because she was worried.

Hearing the noise, she ran straight in, although it was the men's room.

"What's wrong?"

Then, she saw the blood in the sink.

"Oh my goodness!"

Athena stepped forward quickly and grabbed Byron's hand. "What happened?"

"I got scratched here." Byron pointed to the position of the porcelain piece.

Athena took a look and saw a sharp corner with bits of Byron's skin on it.

"Don't worry. It's okay. The wound just looks long, but I'm really okay!" Byron then comforted Athena.

But Athena did not speak.

She picked up Byron's cell phone from the ground and said, "Go to the hospital for disinfection and bandage!" Byron wanted to say there was no need.

But he felt that Athena seemed to be very unhappy and could only agree.
