Chapter 239 Eternal Nightmare

Evie's mother came back the evening after her car accident.

Evie had been well taken care of these two days, and most of the bruises on her face had disappeared.

"Athena, what you have been doing these days? You didn't answer the phone or reply to WhatsApp!" Seeing Athena, Evie hurriedly opened her arms to hug her.

When Athena thought that Evie's car accident was probably because of her, she felt very guilty.

She walked over quickly and hugged Evie. "Does it still hurt?"

"Yeah!" Evie felt aggrieved and said, "I want to kill the damn driver!"

"Don't worry. I won't let him go!" Athena firmly promised.

Not only the driver but also the people behind the scenes couldn't escape!

"Hmm..." Evie rubbed against Athena's chest and said, "You haven't told me, what have you been doing these days?"

Athena smiled softly. "When you get better, I will tell you about these things."

"Okay..." Evie didn't ask any further questions.

Then, she thought of something and said, "It's terrible!"

"What's wrong?" Athena asked.

"I had a car accident, so the decorations in the apartment haven't been removed yet. Has Byron known about it?" Evie said with a worried look. She didn't want Athena's children to be snatched away.

She loved the children.

Athena froze slightly and then smiled. "If you don't mention it, I almost forget it."

"He hasn't found out yet, right? Hurry up back and deal with it!" Evie hurriedly said. Athena pushed Evie back on the bed.

"How could anyone be so lively after a car accident?" Athena asked jokingly.

Evie was speechless.

Athena sat down and said, "There's no need to remove the decorations."

"Why? You reconciled?" Evie asked.

"It will never be possible," Athena said decisively.

"Well..." Evie didn't understand.

If they didn't reconcile, how could she let Byron know about the children?

Athena said, "If he goes to the apartment, it will be his eternal nightmare."

In the crib, besides clothes, shoes, and letters, there was also Athena's first pregnancy test and first B-ultrasound. She put those moments Byron missed in a beautiful box as a gift. As long as Byron saw it, he would know what he had lost.

In the past few days, Athena did not leave the hospital, nor did Byron.

He even stayed by her side when he was working.

Byron was a little tired.

The elevator went up quietly and soon reached the target floor.

The elevator door opened.

Byron raised his eyes and froze for a moment.

On the window facing the elevator entrance, there was a very cute arrow.

He immediately recalled that a few days ago, he had an appointment with Athena to go home for dinner.

Later...

Freya committed suicide, and he hurried to the hospital, so he missed the agreed dinner.

Byron's heart ached.

A few days ago, he still had a good relationship with Athena...

He walked slowly to the door and opened it.

The room was a little dark, but he could still see some things floating in the air.

He turned on the light.

Some balloons had deflated.

The pink and blue balloons should have been arranged into a sentence.

But now, it was unrecognizable.

However, the arrow on the ground was still clear.

Byron saw the withered flowers in the living room. He walked slowly along the arrow and soon arrived at the door of the study.

He recalled the scene Athena ran out of the study when he came home.
