Chapter 305 He Loves His Wife

Athena followed the proprietress' gesture and looked at the bouquets.

She was slightly stunned.

In addition to champagne roses, there were sunflowers and purple daisies.

She used to order these flowers from this shop.

The proprietress probably quite appreciated the customer who ordered flowers.

Before she came back to her senses, she heard the proprietress saying, "It's a gentleman. He buys flowers for his wife twice a week. In addition to seasonal flowers, he also buys sunflowers and purple daisies which are probably what his wife likes. He buys a bunch of sunflowers and purple daisies every time."

He bought flowers for his wife...

Athena thought so in her heart.

"He is a gentleman who loves his wife very much," Athena replied and then pointed behind the proprietress. "I want all the sunflowers."

"You have good taste. The sunflowers in my shop may not be the best in the entire Girard City. Anyway, they must be the best in the district!"

The proprietress was talking while packing the sunflowers for Athena.

"Miss, is it a gift?" the proprietress asked.

"It should be. My daughter likes sunflowers very much," Athena replied.

Mia's first painting was about sunflowers.

Knowing that she liked sunflowers, Rose even planted a field of sunflowers.

"Oh, you look like a college student who has just graduated. Do you already have a daughter?" The proprietress' words were sweet.

Athena smiled.

After she bought the sunflowers, it was drizzling outside.

Athena held the bouquet, opened the car door of the back row, and carefully put it in.

She then got in the car and drove away slowly from this familiar yet unfamiliar street.

It had been five years.

The city had not changed much.

But when it came to a street, shops were replaced and redecorated...

Athena withdrew her gaze and also put away the sadness in her heart.

When she drove out of the intersection, a black Maybach passed by her car.

Inside Maybach, Byron, very exhausted, was watching a video on the iPad with his head down.

Several days had passed since he saw Athena's photo.

Byron almost postponed all his work and put all his efforts into replaceing the woman who had appeared in the science museum that day. Unfortunately...

Because of the lack of surveillance, he got nothing.

He even found the blogger who shot the video and bought all the video materials she shot that day.

At first, the blogger was very vigilant.

Byron simply visited her in person. The blogger saw Byron.

She readily agreed and sold the videos to Byron.

And...

"Mr. Crawford, I know why you bought the videos, but before I sell them to you, I still have to tell the truth... Ever since the netizens found out that there was a woman similar to Miss Newton in the video, everyone in my studio carefully watched the video frame by frame together, but she didn't appear in our footage again."

Byron stared at the video.

His eyes were bloodshot with dark circles.

"Mr. Crawford, the flower shop is here."

The driver parked the car and turned around to remind Byron.

Byron paused the video. "Park the car in the basement."

"Yes!"

When Byron got out of the car, the cold rain fell on his face.

He walked straight into the flower shop as if not feeling the cold.

The proprietress was chatting with her husband. "The sunflowers are sold out. We have to ask the flower farmer to bring some more tomorrow."

As soon as she finished speaking, she heard the wind chime ringing.

She turned around with a smile. "Sir, you are here. The bouquets are all ready!"

Byron nodded, paid the bill, picked up the bouquets, and left.

He just walked at the door.

The wind outside blew in gently.

He paused and subconsciously looked back.
