Chapter 413 Mom Fainted

Evie was a little taken aback.

After all, Brian hardly ever called her.

Evie could roughly guess why he suddenly called her.

After thinking about it, she did not pick up.

"What's wrong?" Aron, who was walking beside her, asked in a low voice.

Evie shook her head. "It's nothing. Mr. Timberlake, let's go."

Aron glanced at her but did not continue to ask.

Putting his palm on Evie's back, he gently pushed her forward. "You first."

Evie was speechless.

What a big hand!

As expected of a golden retriever with big claws.

Only less than a minute later, Evie received a WhatsApp message from Brian.

She glanced at it subconsciously.

Then, she froze.

[Evie, come to the hospital. Your mom fainted at home and is being sent there!]

"Everyone, I have some urgent family matter to attend to, so I can't go to see the place with you." Evie hurriedly said to the others, "Mr. Timberlake, I'm terribly sorry, I..."

"It's okay."

Aron looked at the lawyer beside him. "Mr. Lawn, go see the land with the others and note down if you have any suggestions, please. We'll make an appointment another day to discuss the price." Aron was not going either?

Evie felt that she might be delaying things.

But...

Nothing was more important than her mother now!

"Let's go. I'll send you," Aron said to Evie.

"Mr. Timberlake, no need. I drove here!"

"Your hands are shaking now. You can't drive. Hurry up, and let's go."

In the future, when Evie thought back to this moment, she had a feeling that if there was no one around, Aron would definitely have grabbed her hand.

Forty minutes later, the car arrived at the hospital.

Evie got out of the car and sprinted.

Aron picked up her bag and the phone she had left behind and strode behind her.

Evie remembered the ward number.

She went over quickly, opened the door, and cried, "Mom!"

However, the next second, Evie was stunned.

There were many people in the rather large ward.

As for just how many?

Caspian, Dahlia, Brian, Dahlia's parents, and many more Evie did not recognize. These were probably also Dahlia's family.

Jane was on the hospital bed.

Other than having a rather pale face, she seemed fine.

"Oh, this is Evie, right? Oh, what a great name!" One of Dahlia's family members praised.

Evie just stood there. After sprinting almost a thousand yards over here, she was gasping for air.

Almost instinctively, she gazed at Caspian.

Caspian frowned. It seemed that he did not know that Evie would come.

Just when he was about to speak, someone knocked on the door of the ward.

Everyone looked over.

Aron stood at the door. He was very well-dressed, clearly showing that he was from a wealthy family.

Evie also turned around.

It was only when she saw Aron that she came back to her senses.

She was lied to...

Her mother used her worry to lie to her.

At this moment, Evie felt that her world was collapsing.

Sensing that something was not right about Evie, Aron walked over with a frown. "What's wrong?"

"Why didn't you leave?" Evie asked, her voice trembling.

Why?

Why would she do this?

All for Caspian's marriage?

But, she was her mother...

"You dropped your phone," Aron said softly.

"Oh..."

Evie wanted to take the phone.

Aron glanced at those people.

Then asked softly, "Do you want me to take you away?"

"Wait..."

Evie grabbed the phone, along with Aron's hand.

Her hand was very cold, and it was still shaking.
