My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup -
Chapter 446
Chapter 446 Missed Out
"Amazing. And you've only known him for less than a week. This is truly what you call a flash marriage," Athena said while clapping her hands.
Evie blushed.
Then she hugged Athena's arm, threw herself into her embrace, and started to act spoiled.
"Don't worry, I think Aron is very dependable," Evie said, "He's completely different from Caspian. When I was with Aron, I felt no pressure at all. It was very comfortable."
Aron didn't put any pressure on her.
Wait...
The ring could count as pressure.
"As long as you're happy, that's enough," Athena said thoughtfully, "I know that Aron is several years younger than you, but he's very calm in his conduct and has a good reputation in the eyes of those who have interacted with him. It seems that there won't be any problem."
Evie thought for a while before saying, "I still don't know him very much, but I also think he's a good person."
Aron would listen to her seriously.
He would ask her what she wanted and wouldn't suppress her emotions.
And most importantly, it seemed that he would never ask her to be always well-behaved.
Athena looked at Evie. In her impression, she seemed to rarely see such a relaxed expression in Evie's eyes.
In the past, Evie always had so much forbearance and burden.
Although she might look happy on the outside, she was carrying a lot of burdens in her heart.
"I seem to have forgotten to say it," Athena said affectionately, "Evie, I wish you have a happy marriage and always be happy."
Evie did not know what part of her was struck by this sentence because she immediately got up to hug Athena and cried as if a dam was burst open.
Athena felt a wave of sadness wash through her when she heard Evie's cries.
Athena let her cry and patted her on the back lightly. "Mrs. Timberlake, if someone sees you crying like this, they will think that you're being forced into the marriage." Evie cried even louder upon hearing Athena's words.
Athena waited until Evie cried enough. Not long after, her cries subsided, and Evie tried to calm her emotions.
Evie sobbed a few times and asked Athena, "You and Byron..."
Athena lowered her eyes, and her voice was even when she spoke, "We've talked it out."
Evie thought for a while before saying, "You shouldn't have lied to him that you're married."
"It just happened so suddenly that day... Anyway, we've just abruptly become like this." Athena shook her head and said, "It doesn't matter anymore."
Evie hesitated for a moment.
Truthfully, she never thought that Athena and Byron would just go their separate ways like this.
"Athena, when I saw Byron this time, I think he has changed a lot," Evie said seriously, "I think he changed for you. Are you really sure you want to give him up for someone else after all your efforts?" That was her years of hard work to finally change Byron little by little.
Did she truly not want him anymore?
"Why won't he do it for Freya?" Athena asked.
Evie said resolutely, "Today, when Freya was blocking me outside the dressing room, Byron came and immediately wanted to chase Freya away. More importantly, when he looked into her eyes, there was not even a sign of him liking her. It was so cold. Even he didn't look at me like that!"
Then Evie hurriedly added, "Of course, he didn't look at me with such a cold expression because he respected you!"
"Evie." Athena's tone suddenly turned serious. "Byron and I have already missed out on each other. When I loved him, he only thought of me as Freya's substitute. But when he loved me, there were many things between us. It was not only about Mia and Aiden's lives but also the matter of George's hand and his dream..."
