Chapter 477 Go for It

For the presentation, Athena rose early the next morning. She applied her makeup, changed her clothes, and headed downstairs.

Evie was already busy in the kitchen.

"Good morning, Mrs. Timberlake." Athena greeted her hurriedly as she made her way toward the elevator.

"Wait a moment!"

Evie called out as she quickly made her way over to Athena, handing her a bag. "Here are some scones, black coffee, and a cup of berries."

Athena accepted the bag gratefully.

"Thank you," she said, blowing Evie a kiss.

"Remember to eat them!" Evie reminded her as Athena stepped into the elevator. "Go for it!"

"Yeah!"

The elevator doors closed. Evie hummed a song as she returned to the kitchen to continue her work.

She wasn't actually skilled at cooking.

She had considered learning how to cook for Caspian before.

But their tastes were very different, and he was quite critical. Whenever they were together, he would usually be the one to cook.

So, the idea of learning how to cook was put on hold.

Now, her cooking skills had improved thanks to Mia and Aiden.

When these two little ones began eating solid foods, it was also when Evie's maternal instincts were at their strongest.

For several months, she wasn't busy with work and spent her time making breakfast supplements for Mia and Aiden at home.

When Aron arrived, he was dressed in sportswear and looked sunny and refreshed.

Just looking at him made one feel good.

"What a feast!" he exclaimed in surprise as he walked into the dining room.

"I didn't know what you liked to eat, so I made some of everything I'm good at," Evie explained with a smile. "Whichever one you replace delicious, I'll make it again when I have time." Due to a piece of land that had come up for sale, Evie's original work schedule had been cleared for a few days.

Almost tomorrow and the day after tomorrow would be when she started her new itinerary.

It wouldn't be normal busyness, so she wouldn't have time to make breakfast for Aron.

"Every one of them looks delicious," Aron complimented Evie on this new day.

Evie couldn't help but feel a little smug.

"I'm not boasting, but whenever I make this, my godson and goddaughter always happily eat it all up!"

"Athena's children?" Aron asked.

"Yes!" Evie nodded. "But this is all I can do."

She recounted the time when her maternal instincts were at their peak.

Aron laughed. "Is it baby food? Then can I barely be considered a baby under Mrs. Timberlake's care?"

Evie's cheeks immediately turned red.

"A baby in his twenties?" she muttered. "Eat quickly!"

Aron nodded obediently and began eating his breakfast.

The little golden retriever was true to his nature; he ate slowly, chewing and swallowing carefully.

"Do you want me to see you off tomorrow?" Aron asked.

Evie shook her head. "I'm fine. You can just focus on your business."

Aron looked at her.

He really wanted to be troubled by her, but he knew that being too aggressive would put pressure on her.

So, Aron nodded in agreement. "Okay."

After breakfast....

Aron went to work.

Evie went to the hospital to visit her grandmother.

In the past few days, Ada had shown significant improvement and no longer urged Evie to give up her pursuit of the Murray family.

Evie attributed this change to the better care provided by the new hospital and its doctors.

Ada's mood had lifted, and she had become more cheerful.

It was about time.

Athena led her team to Bloor Food.

Although there were only Chelsea Investment and Imbe Group as competing teams, there were actually four teams in total. The other two teams were not as strong and were often overlooked in discussions.
