Chapter 500 Be Cocky

"Am I that pretty?" Evie asked.

Aron nodded seriously. "My wife is the prettiest!"

Evie said, "Aron, we need to talk!"

"Huh? About what?" Aron asked.

"I have a hunch that if you continue to praise me without a limit like this, sooner or later, I'll become cocky!"

Aron laughed after hearing this.

"Then be cocky. It's not like we can't afford to."

Evie was a little speechless, yet she felt a sense of safety for some reason.

The two wandered all the way to the lake. Aron pointed to a villa with lights on at the door. "I live there."

Aron did not say that was his home, but he lived there.

Because to him, from the day he got married, a home had to be a place where he lived with his wife.

Evie looked at the magnificent house and hesitated for a moment. "The house my father left me is very small, are you used to living in it? We can..." "I'm not used to living in this kind of big house." Aron interrupted Evie, "It's more comfortable living in a small house when there are not many people."

Evie looked at him. "You're not used to big houses. Why buy it?"

Evie actually did not want Aron to be too accommodating to her as a result of compromising.

"Actually, I only moved here after this year. It's very close to where I work. I originally planned to move to an apartment after the work in hand was finished," Aron replied. "Really?"

"Of course." Aron rubbed Evie's head.

"Hey, I'm older than you!" Evie glared at Aron.

Aron laughed.

After walking around the neighborhood, it was already 2:30 when Aron sent Evie back.

Standing at the door of the house., Aron said good night but stood still.

Evie thought again about the content in brackets Aron sent her that night.

She thought for a while, then walked back, tiptoed, and kissed Aron's cheek. "Mr. Timberlake, good night."

This time, she did not run away after kissing.

Aron was stunned for a moment, then laughed. "Mrs. Timberlake, good night. See you at dawn."

Evie pursed her lips and smiled.

Turning around, she walked briskly into the house.

At noon the next day, Evie and Athena had lunch together.

After lunch, Athena was about to call the driver and ask him to come and take her to the airport.

Surprisingly, Byron called her first.

"What?" Athena asked, completely missing the soft look she had when they were rubbing each other yesterday.

"I'm at the gate of your community." Byron replied, "I'll take you to the airport."

"Huh?"

Athena frowned.

Probably because she did not clear things with Byron yet, she instinctively did not want Byron to get too involved in her life.

Fortunately, Mia and Aiden no longer lived here.

Athena thought about it and felt she had to talk to Byron about this matter.

If he never learned to know and respect her safe zone, she was going to deduct a lot of points!

A while later.

Byron's car was parked downstairs of the villa.

His hand was injured, and he could not drive, so he took the driver with him.

The driver got out of the car and helped Athena carry the luggage into the car.

Byron looked at the two big boxes.

He started to feel anxious again, subconsciously frowned, and looked at Athena. "Aren't you just going for a few days? Why bring so many things?"
