Chapter 590 All Because of You

Without looking back, Athena headed outside.

She wanted to see how long it would take for Byron to replace out the truth and what he would do with Freya.

But it didn't really matter.

Because Freya was bound to die.

Byron became anxious.

He immediately stood up to chase after her, but a severe headache struck him.

He felt dizzy and sat back down, clutching his head.

"Byron!"

"Mr. Crawford!"

Byron stared at Athena's retreating figure.

She left without any hesitation.

"Byron, are you okay? What's wrong with your head?" Freya even wanted to throw herself into Byron's arms.

Jaxson snorted disdainfully.

He despised them in his heart.

When he watched soap operas, he always skipped such scenes.

He hated this kind of thing the most.

Jaxson walked out with his men and had them surround Lauries Mansion.

"Don't touch me..."

Byron pushed Freya away.

He was in severe pain, and he pushed so hard that Freya fell to the floor and hit her elbow on the coffee table.

With tears in her eyes, Freya asked Byron, "Don't you believe me?"

Byron picked up the document, his face pale. "You transferred the money for Lola? Do you think we're idiots?" "I just..."

Before Freya could finish, Byron threw the document at her face.

"You used to risk your life to save me. How could you become like this?" Byron asked dolefully.

The sharp edge of the paper cut Freya's cheek.

The sharp pain fiercely attacked Freya's self-esteem.

She understood Byron.

Once he made up his mind, he didn't need evidence to pass judgment.

He wouldn't investigate anything anymore, nor would he listen to her defense.

Freya smiled, tears streaming down her face. "Do you really not know why? What was I like when we first met? You thought I was wonderful, right? And then? What happened after you repeatedly said you wanted to protect me? I was sold like livestock to Europe and endured humiliation and torment!"

Byron's face grew even paler.

But Freya continued, "Later, you found me and persuaded me to divorce and come back. I did as you said, but you despised me and insisted on marrying my substitute..."

"I didn't despise you..." Byron said in a deep voice.

"Hmph..." Freya sneered, "You didn't despise me? Then why did you resist every time I touched your hand for five and a half years after Athena died and before Chelsea appeared? Byron, you gave me hope, and then you destroyed it with your own hands! Isn't it because of you that I've suffered so much? Shouldn't you marry me? But what about you? You'd rather marry my substitute! Tell me, what do you want me to do other than hate you?"

"You can hate me, but why did you have to hurt her?" Byron asked in annoyance.
