Earl knew a lot about wine, so he was interested when he met Janet, who had knowledge about wine.
He went to the wine cabinet, and when he came back, he had two glasses of wine in his hands.
"If you don't mind, Ms. Longfellow, please taste these two glasses of wine."
Janet looked at the two glasses of wine. The liquid in one glass was red, and the other was faint yellow.
She raised her eyebrows slightly, took the glass with red liquid, took a small sip, and thought about it for a moment before coming up with
an answer.
*Romanee-Conti 1982."
Earl smiled and said, "Sorry, It's not completely right. In this..."
Before he could finish speaking. Janet smiled confidently. "It must be mixed with Leroy Musigny, but I can't tell which year it is."
She could even tell that the wine was mixed!
Earl was stunned, his eyes full of amazement as he looked at Janet.
Janet took the other glass, and just as she drank it, she had an answer in her heart. She smiled and looked up. "Mr. Davila, isn't it a bit wasteful to mix such an expensive limited-edition vodka with water?"
"Awesome! Awesome!"
Earl exclaimed from the bottom of his heart. "Ms. Longfellow, you're really an expert!"
Nigel's eyes were filled with admiration, and he gave her a thumbs-up without any hesitation. "My Jill is awesome as expected!"
Such remarks caused Nathaniel to be dissatisfied.
He furrowed his brows, feeling frustrated and depressed.
He called her "my Jill"! Why didn't she refuse such an intimate form of address?
In his frustration, he gulped down a full glass of wine, which shocked Alfred.
He thought Mr. Webster, your stomach is not good. This is not how you drink alcohol!
Janet inadvertently saw Nathaniel gulping down the wine from the corner of her eye, and she unconsciously felt worried. She couldn't help but remember how his stomach felt uncomfortable every time he drank.
She was the one who took care of him all those nights....
But after thinking for a while, Janet cut it off.
How ridiculous! Why did she think of this? She should have forgotten about the man who didn't care about her a long time ago.
Nathaniel obviously thought of the past as well. He raised his eyes to look at Janet, his eyes flashing with an unknown light. But Janet looked away with cold eyes as a response.
Nathaniel's eyes darkened.
After drinking a glass of wine, Colin started to get excited and suggested. "It's boring to just drink. Why don't we play something exciting?"
Nigel raised his eyebrows slightly. "How exciting? Tell me about it."
Colin conjured a set of poker cards.
"Simple. The dealer and the players each draw a card. A player guesses if he or the dealer has the bigger number. Il he guesses correctly. the dealer and the next player will draw cards again and continue the game. If the player guesses wrongly, he will be punished. He can
choose truth or dare. After the punishment is over, we will change the dealer. What do you say?"
The group could be livened up by games. No one objected, so Colin said. "Then I will be the dealer in the first round."
He took the lead to take a card, and according to the clockwise order, the first one to draw was Earl.
Earl's guess was right. He was safe. Marco was the next one and also guessed correctly.
The next one was Nigel.
"D*mn! I guessed it wrong!" Nigel threw his card away and pulled his hair in frustration. Looking at the expectant and gossipy faces of
Colin and Earl he sighed in resignation. "Truth. Just ask!"
"When was your first time?" Colin chuckled.
Nigel blushed, which was rare. He glared at Colin. "Colin, you did it on purpose, didn't you? I haven't! You knew it!"
Colin seemed enlightened. "Oh... I forgot. Who are you waiting for?"
"Oh?" Janet was also interested in gossiping. She looked at Nigel meaningfully. "Who? Tell me."
Nigel said with an unruly smile, "You. Do you believe me?"
"Stop it." Janet rolled her eyes.
She did not see a trace of regret and happiness flash in Nigel's eyes....
