My Silver Alpha

Eran ran in his wolf form along the paths of his domain looking for some clue as to who was behind the massacre of his people. But there was no trace of any such person or wolf, and that was strange rather than impossibly strange. Every wolf left a strong trail behind him, but this was not like that, this behaviour was not normal.

As he sniffed the air he could smell nothing but the scent of winter approaching. There was nothing, it was as if no one had ever passed by. He came to think that this wolf was not like anyone else, he was definitely a very dangerous alpha… then he heard a noise behind him, he raised his ears and smelled a familiar scent.

-I heard what happened to your pack.

-It’s strange to see you so often, father.

-I have only come to warn you that you must return home.

-I know and I promise I will return father… but I can’t leave without knowing who killed my people.

-He is not a wolf to be taken lightly Eren. The silver wolf turns to look at his father.

-Do you know him? He looks at the king’s aged features in his albino wolf form.

-No, I don’t know who he is.

The albino wolf walks around his son as he glares at him with a sharp gaze. Eren only stood tall in the face of his father’s authoritative stance.

-I don’t know what he’s after either, but what I can tell you is that he’s a dangerous wolf and he’s not common like the rest of us.

-I’ve already studied that theory, father, you’re not telling me anything I don’t already know.

-Eren, you must protect your pack. It is inescapable that you remove them all from these lands.

-What about the neighbouring herds? Soon enough I’ll be their king, I can’t leave them in the grip of a wolf-killer.

-You will worry about that when you are crowned king, but for now I require you to return.

-Why the urgency father?

-I’m dying Eren, this old wolf doesn’t have much left.

The king growls at his son, pausing before him, focusing on him with his silver eyes. The young alpha tilts his ears back as he whimpers like a puppy at the news given by his father. Eren takes a few steps until he reaches his dad, with his snout he sniffs the albino wolf’s neck who imitates him. Both were the same size, the difference was that eren was silver grey with green eyes and his albino father with silver eyes.

-Father…

-All right my son, I am prepared for this. For this reason it is imperative that you return, the packs need a leader and who better than you. They are all counting on you.

-I will come back father, I promise I will come back.

-Very well, I will be waiting for your return.

He walks away from the young man trying to go back the way he came. Eren watches his father feeling fear for his departure, he was an old wolf it wasn’t right for him to be wandering around alone with an assassin lurking.

-Father, I don’t want you to come here again. It’s too dangerous for you to be alone in your condition.

-I’m never alone Eren, there are lots of boys looking out for me right now. But I’ll try not to come back, settle the unfinished business and come home son.

-I will! Goodbye father.

Bardas jumps into the bushes and gets lost on his way. After a few seconds Eren caught the scent of other wolves which mingled with the faint scent of his father. For the moment he was reassured that he would return to the castle in good health. But that didn’t stop him from worrying that his father would soon pass away. So many years without being with him to return and know that he would not have him any longer.

-My alpha, he can no longer make these trips. The bardic beta speaks to him mentally. -It’s time for him to stay in the castle until the prince returns.

-I know, I know… but I need to see my son as long as possible, I don’t have much time left, old friend.

-Alpha! He has been a good leader for all of us. The brown wolf replies at his side as they run through the wasteland to the castle.

-Let’s go home!

-Yes, sir. The atmosphere has become a little strange, there is something roaming these lands. It looks like a predator.

-No doubt it is. I need you to send out surveillance without my son knowing, keep them away from Eren’s territory. If he replaces out he’ll be angry. I want that wolf watched.

The alpha was returning to the village feeling a little defeated by the news of his father, Eren walked in his wolf form to the village, he was almost close when he perceived another scent that left him absorbed. He turned his huge head and realized that Valentina was a few meters away from him with her mouth wide open at the sight of a giant wolf.

-For God’s sake! she exclaims, backing up a few steps and turning totally pale. -A giant wolf, my God! This can’t be.

After being locked up in the house for several days, the brunette decided to go out and explore a little. Lili told her that she could do it but not to go too far. But given her curiosity it was impossible for her to listen to her and she went a little further than usual, but what she never imagined was to meet a huge silver wolf. Never in his life had he seen a wolf as big as that. By this time fear had taken hold of her and she could only begin to squirm before she became the animal’s dinner.

Suddenly she noticed him walking in her direction, setting her heart racing. She was sweating profusely, her whole body was turning cold, she didn’t think she would last long, she suspected she was going to faint at any moment before the imminent threat of that wolf.

-Don’t hurt me little wolf, if this is your territory I’ll go quietly. She said with both hands forward.

Eren tasted her snout at seeing her so vulnerable and scared in front of him, it was the first time his moon had caught him in his wolf form and he wanted to continue to see her reaction to his presence. So he walked towards her without looking away, he could smell fear and that was not good since he was living with a pack of wolves. So he crouched his ears as he walked towards her, but it didn’t help much as it looked like he was going to attack her.

-Damn it, this wolf is going to swallow me. She mumbles backing away.

Suddenly she had no more road behind her, her back collided with a huge tree leaving her cornered. Valentina swallowed dryly, touching the bark of the trunk with her hands. Her eyes watered as the silver wolf settled only inches away from her. The brunette closed her eyes tightly waiting for the impending bite… but instead she only received a huge wet lick between her neck and earlobe.

After that she heard a whimper, like that of a helpless puppy, which forced her to open her eyes. Her heart was pounding, her chest was rising and falling fast as she watched the wolf’s muzzle pass over her body. What the hell was that animal doing? she asked herself.
