My Silver Alpha -
Chapter 20
Eren’s icy words froze Valentina’s b***d and she didn’t let her articulate for what felt like a few minutes, what did that mean? Why didn’t he want her around?
-Why? She frowns.
-I don’t want you near me Valentina, for your sake it’s best. It’s important that you recover your memory and return home as soon as possible.
-And if that doesn’t happen, what then? The young woman folds her arms as a few tears spill over the rims of her eyes. -Will you throw me into the forest to my fate?
-I’m not a bastard! You can stay here as long as you want, until you get your memory back. He says, putting both hands in his pockets.
-I understand. Valentina flattens her lips keeping the rest of her words, she didn’t understand why but a small pain had settled in her chest and it was all because of Eren’s words. -I’ll let you know when I get my memory back.
The young woman ended the conversation and turned around to walk to the window and look out of it. She was trying as hard as she could to hold back the huge urge she had to cry, she was just screaming for Eren to come out of the room to do it. So she bit her lips to the point of hurting herself.
-Valentina…
-Go away! Demands the brunette without turning to look at him.
Eren understands that he must leave her alone, his mood wasn’t good and for everything he had told her it wasn’t for nothing. The alpha looks at his shoes, then he sees her back for a moment until he finally leaves the room… when he closes the door he feels that something was wrong, it was as if he was making a big mistake, but on the other hand he thought it was the right thing to do. Valentina was a human as fragile as her own mother, she had to remember that.
[…]-Valentina, where are you going? Lili asked as soon as she saw her take her coat and head for the exit.
-I’d like to go for a walk, can’t I? She asked, praying that the young woman would tell her that she could.
-You can, but you shouldn’t go out alone. Eren told me not to leave you alone. Besides, you’re not well at all.
-What do you care about me?
-I’m sorry I lied to you, but he made me promise not to say anything. I couldn’t go against him.
-It’s not your fault! The brunette looks away. -It’s just… she bites her lips.
-What?
-I’m sorry Lili, I’m not blaming you for anything. I just don’t understand why he would do something like that.
-I told you, it’s my secret place. No one from the village passes through here, so you haven’t discovered this place. I wanted you to know it. Confesses the little girl sitting on a dry log.
-Why? Valentina looks at her expectantly.
-I like spending time with you! And I told you, you smell good. Besides, you’re Eren’s girlfriend. The little girl smiles with innocence on her face.
The girl made a sweet gesture when she heard Sofia’s answer. On one hand she understood her, apparently her parents weren’t with her much, or at least they didn’t play with her enough and she was seeing in her a friend to hang out with. She was cute! But how long would she be in that place? If she regained her memory she would have to leave Eren had warned her. He didn’t want her around, he felt anger at the memory of those flippant words.
-Why did you think the Alpha was my dad? The girl’s question snapped her out of her stupefaction.
-Alpha? She heard that word again, wondering what it meant.
-Yes, Eren is the leader of us all.
Sofia smiles at him as if she were telling him something quite natural, as if she understood what it meant.
-Sofia, I’m not really understanding what you’re saying. What do you mean, the alpha?
-Well, it’s just that my mum told me that she couldn’t tell you anything else. That the person who should tell you everything was Eren.
That really confused her, what was going on in that place? Now that the girl was telling her those things, it really seemed stranger to her, that town so far away from everyone. Maybe the right thing to do was to leave even if her memories were missing, she had her wallet and money. The memories could always come back later.
Suddenly they both heard the sound of a branch breaking, both Valentina and Sofia became alert and looked around. But given the thick bushes it was impossible to see anything at all.
-Valentina, there’s someone out there. The girl said to her, taking her hand tightly as she watched her pale.
