Lucian, full of fury, ran away from Eren’s pack. He was very close to achieving his goal, he needed to eliminate the woman who was his moon to make him vulnerable because even with his power he would not be able to do much damage to her. She was too strong an alpha to fight him. Even his new allies wouldn’t be able to do enough damage to weaken him.

-Damn it! He mumbles inwardly.

As he tore through the human’s lair he had smelled the alpha’s scent approaching fast leaving him no choice but to flee, but fortunately he could see the girl’s face. It would be easier to recognize her anywhere, he just needed another moment like that and as soon as he had it he would not waste it. He would kill that woman without mercy, he had to destroy her at all costs, he said to himself as he ran to the land where she lived.

But as he approached the land he smelled the scent of many humans infesting the place. He growled in anger, more humans whom he intended to turn into his soldiers. He quickened his pace, reaching the place in seconds. From where he stood he could see them all, there were many armed men. He sharpened his hearing to listen to what they were saying.

-They must be in these lands, their last location was this one.

-How could they disappear out of nowhere? That’s impossible.

-It’s very strange, the only thing I can think of is that they were eaten by the animals of this place.

-There would have to be a lot of them! exclaims one of them, holding his gun tightly.

-We’ll have to call for more reinforcements, we have to finish off those damned wolves.

Lucian listened carefully, so more reinforcements. That meant that his army would increase with the arrival of more humans to these lands. What idiots! The wolf thought, they were only going into the lion’s den. Their lives were doomed… he waited patiently for the leader of them all to make the call inviting more to join them. It would be a feast for Lucian who couldn’t wait to turn them all into his slaves.

By the time Valentina was close to the village, she turned around to see if the silver wolf was following her and indeed he was. She smiled as she caught him approaching her slowly, the young girl stroked his muzzle noticing that the hooves were no longer there. That seemed very strange to her, but she played it down as Sofia was heavy and she had to return her to her mother.

-I must go.

She stops stroking him to go down the path to the village… as soon as she returns with the others, the first to intercept her is Lili, who came running towards the two of them.

-For God’s sake Valentina, what has happened? she asks, taking the girl in her arms.

-We’ve had a small inconvenience.

-But are you both all right? Let’s go to the house.

The girls arrived at Eren’s home and it wasn’t even two minutes when the alpha made an appearance in the house opening the door wide open. The first one he glared at was Valentina.

-What do you think you were doing in the woods? He reproaches her angrily.

-I’m sorry. He apologizes, he didn’t think he was going to tell on the little girl and get her into trouble.

-Are you sorry? You know how much we were all worried here, you’ve been looking for them everywhere. This isn’t a f*****g amusement park. He yells at her.

-Eren! Valentina is having a hard time.

-I don’t care about that, you know the dangers outside. And outside she was with a little girl. They were both in danger.

-Eren! The brunette insists.

-That’s true. The young woman answers, lowering her head. -She’s right, I was very reckless to go beyond what I was allowed and take the girl with me.

The alpha grits his teeth at the chestnut’s sincerity. He was really annoyed with her, but on the other hand he knew his pack very well and he was sure that Sofia had a lot to do with the two of them being so far apart. The girl had a way of convincing people, for her dragging Valentina along was sure to be a piece of cake.

-Valentina, you are forbidden to go so far away from the village, there are many hunters and wild animals outside which can hurt you.

-I’m so sorry! She answers without looking at him. That pissed him off even more.

As he was about to answer him, the door of his house opens abruptly, giving way to Deon who looks agitated.

-What’s wrong? Eren looks at him with a frown.

-Lucas is here! He proclaims just as the owner of the name makes his presence known.

-Eren, I thought I’d replace the alpha of this pack out with his people and not tucked away in his ca…

But the man stops his words when he notices the presence of Valentina who had looked up to see who had arrived. The alpha of the iron pack takes a closer look at the brunette with admiring eyes and is completely captivated by her incredible natural beauty.

Eren realizing what was happening with his uninvited visitor frowned even more, glancing sideways at the chestnut who was also watching the alpha intently, what the f**k were they looking at each other? His jealousy came to the fore, walking imposingly over to Lucas to get in the way.

-What are you doing here Lucas? He asks in an authoritative voice.

-It was as if the wolf snapped out of his stupefaction. -We’d better talk about this in private, it’s a very serious matter.

-Lili, take Valentina upstairs. She spoke without taking her eyes off Lucas who looked like an idiot looking at his mate. -Now tell me what’s going on.

-We’ve been attacked by a pack of wild wolves.

-Wolves? What kind of wolves?

-Common wolves, they were small… but very strong and different. They killed two of mine, and they were transformed into wolves. You can imagine how strong their bite is. My men barely managed to finish them off, only one managed to escape.

-Where did they come from?

-I have no idea… they just appeared out of nowhere attacking everyone in their path. Wild sun, I’ve never seen a wolf like that. In sent to warn the rest of the neighbouring packs, but since you’re the closest I wanted to come personally.

Eren thought about the information provided. Besides that killer wolf stalking them, they would also have to deal with wild wolves. What the hell was going on in those lands?

-And that’s not all. Eren answers. -There is another thing you need to know Lucas… a wolf, there is a wolf that kills wolves. I lost a few tales a couple of days ago and I’ve been hunting him ever since.

-Who is he? -An alpha?

-I’m afraid so, it’s no ordinary wolf as I sense it can hide its scent.

-That’s impossible Eren, no wolf can do a thing like that.

-This one can. It can be around and we won’t notice it. One of my boys, the one who made it here alive. I could see the bite on his body, it was deep and strong, and worst of all it never healed.

-What are you saying?

-This wolf’s bite is so strong that a wolf cannot regenerate.

The iron alpha was petrified at those shocking words, for he had never heard anything like that about any wolf. Not even the king of the wolves, that wolf was the strongest of all the alphas but nothing like what Eren was telling him. They weren’t dealing with just any alpha.
