My Substitute CEO Bride -
Chapter 1637
A long-lost smile appeared on Gemma's face. She was happy that she could finally be with Ryan openly. About 20 minutes later, Shiloh swaggered into the villa with a group of people. Dozens of bodyguards stood densely at the villa's entrance. Shiloh's eyes flashed fiercely., sending a chill through the hearts of the Yoners.
Cameron, however, remained calm. "Shiloh, with Maverick here today, you can't cause trouble."
Sloane's mouth twitched a few times. On any given day, Cameron would address them more politely. Yet today, he was being rather direct! Even with Maverick backing him, did he think he could be so arrogant? "Shiloh, do you have business here?" Maverick glanced indifferently at Shiloh.
Shiloh dared not meet Maverick's gaze. He felt suppressed by Maverick, someone of the main lineage of the family.
He stepped aside and said loudly, "Please, Mr. Fisher Senior!"
Baelor supported an elderly man in his late 90s as they slowly approached. It was the Fisher family's patriarch, who was now 98 years old.
The Fisher family's current status was all thanks to Tatum laying the indestructible foundation. Thirty years ago, Francel led the Fisher family to its peak with this foundation, giving rise to the title of Northwest King.
Tatus walked into the villa with a cane. Despite his advanced age, his eyes were full of vicissitudes of life and still carried a sharp edge.
"Mr. Fisher Senior!" Maverick stood up to greet him.
The others also stood up and greeted, "Greetings, Mr. Fisher Senior."
"Hmph..." Tatum snorted coldly.
He was about to speak but noticed a young man sitting on the main couch who had not stood up to greet him.
Were the youths of the Yoner family all this disrespectful?
Had they made enough contributions to the Northwest business community?
Perhaps he had made the wrong decision in forming a marriage alliance with the Yoners?
Suddenly, Tatum felt that the calm young man looked familiar. With trembling hands, he took out his reading glasses and put them on.
It was Nash Calcraft!
Tatum's heart skipped a beat, and he almost knelt down. Before him was the North Warden's son, the commander of the Celestial Dragon Squadron, and Drakonia's Golden Amulet Master. He was Drakonia's most outstanding young man. "Please, everyone. Take a seat," Tatum said in a gentle tone.
The fierce light in Shiloh's eyes collapsed in an instant.
What?
Tatum just snorted, and now he was telling them to sit down?
Was his grandfather suffering from dementia? Did he forget that they were here today to hold someone accountable? Maverick stepped forward to assist Tatum into the villa and guided him to his seat, which happened to be next to Nash. "Greetings, Mr. Fisher Senior." Nash smiled.
"Mr. Calcraft, hello!" Tatum was so excited that tears welled up in his eyes. He had finally met his idol.
"Mr. Fisher Senior, are you here to hold someone accountable?" Maverick asked quietly.
"About that..." Tatum had intended to create trouble for his cousin's descendants.
However, Nash was here, and he had not yet figured out Nash's relationship with the Yoners.
If he accidentally offended Nash, Nash could turn the whole Northwest upside down with a flick of his finger.
At that moment, Maverick explained Gemma and Ryan's situation while emphasizing that Ryan was Nash's childhood friend.
"Well, that's the current situation, Mr. Fisher Senior. You probably remember seeing it on TV that day. Several big figures suggested that our country should strengthen supervision of the Marriage Management Law, prohibiting forced marriages for the sake of interests," Maverick said.
