"Lana, come here!" Nash said while uncovering the dirt. "In a moment, I'll head out to ambush him. If anyone comes over, I'll re-enter the array and you place this stone back into the hole."

The hole was for the isolation array stone, which only worked when placed in this specific spot.

"Ambush?" Lana could not help but laugh. "You're the commander of the Celestial Dragon Squadron. How can you resort to such underhanded tactics?"

Nash gave Lana a stern look. "This is called strategic deception!" With that, he used the spearhead to pick up the isolation array stone and then stepped out of the array. He then swiftly thrust his spear toward Jaskier's back. "Whoa! A sneak attack!"

Despite Jaskier's unseemly nature, he was still a grandmaster-level martial artist. He reacted almost the instant Nash attacked, sidestepping to avoid the lethal strike.

Nash redirected his spear, and with a powerful swing, he struck Jaskier in the chest.

Jaskier was knocked back several steps before he finally regained his balance, but when he looked up, Nash had already disappeared.

What the hell? Was this for real?

Nash was a Golden Amulet Master, the son of the Warden of the Northern Territory, and the commander of the Celestial Dragon Squadron. This was what he was resorting to?

Jaskier was confused and infuriated. He could not comprehend how Nash could employ such deceitful tactics despite his status and reputation.

Jaskier rubbed his chest and said evenly, "Nash, stop with these useless tricks. You don't even have true energy now. Even if I stand here and let you stab me, you wouldn't be able to kill me."

Seeing Nash still in hiding, Jaskier smirked and deliberately exposed his back while channeling his true energy to protect his body.

Sure enough, Nash appeared just then, thrusting his spear forcefully at Jaskier's back. Nash's attacks were powerful enough to pierce even cowhide. However, a grandmaster's defense was far superior to that of mere cowhide. "Is that all?" Jaskier turned to face Nash, but once again, Nash had vanished.

"Fine, fine. You want to play hide and seek? I'll play along, then!" Jaskier walked toward where Nash had disappeared. He knew Nash was hidden within an array. As long as he stayed alert and struck the moment Nash reappeared, he could catch him off guard.

If the renowned commander of the Celestial Dragon Squadron died by his hand, the prestige he would gain within his family would be unimaginable.

Jaskier reached the spot where Nash had vanished and threw several punches, each one hitting nothing but air.

Suddenly, a distortion appeared before him, and a spearhead emerged from what seemed like a water surface, aiming directly at his heart.

With one swift move, Jaskier's true energy surged and deflected the spearhead just in time. The spear slid off to the side after failing to penetrate his defenses.

Undeterred, Nash disappeared back

into the array, and Jaskier's

frustration grew. Still, he kept his composure. He knew that he had to remainpatient and vigilant to outmaneuver Nash's tactics

"You think you can keep playing this game, Nash? I'll replace you," Jaskier muttered, his eyes scanning the surroundings carefully for any sign of movement.

Jaskier could not be bothered to move. He stood there with his hands on his hips, a carefree smile playing on his lips. "Come on, go ahead and stab me. If you can, kill me right here!" The spearhead pierced through Jaskier's chest mercilessly, and the smile on his face slowly froze as he looked down at his chest in disbelief.

He lifted his head again, only to see that the one holding the spear was not Nash but the woman he had been dreaming of tormenting the renowned beauty of Capiton, Lana. "You..." Jaskier uttered before he fell to the ground, dead. His dilated pupils were filled with confusion.

When did Lana start practicing martial arts? She had even cultivated true energy? The fact that she was able to break his defense indicated she was at least a stage five grandmaster. Martin emerged from the forest, and when he saw Jaskier lying on the ground, his face twisted with rage. "Jaskier..." He gritted his teeth and roared, "Nash, you're courting death..."

With that, he leaped forward,

covering a distance of over ten

meters in a single bound. From his

hand, he unleashed two extremely

energy blasts, each forming a

powerful fist made of true energy.

The ability to externalize true energy was a sign of a great-grandmaster. Being able to shape said energy into forms indicated one was at least a stage five great-grandmaster or higher. Nash reacted swiftly, yanking Lana back before placing the array stone back into the pit.
