Chapter 48: Arrested By The Police

The fat man hurriedly called the police, asking them to come to the university.

He even claimed to be a victim of violence committed by the lecturer's family.

All the lecturers there were dumbfounded as they stared at Alex, wondering how the man's brain worked, how could he turn white in front of them all.

Surprisingly, the dean was still smiling, seemingly not caring at all about his actions.

David noticed his calmness, thinking that there might be something hidden.

He suddenly suspected that there was Jane's interference. Perhaps she had woken up from her sleep and seen the video on the school forum. Otherwise, how could the dean suddenly come over, then immediately declare that she was completely innocent.

According to David, only Jane could make the Dean do that.

It didn't matter whether Jane knew the dean personally or not at all, but with her family's power, she could indeed easily control the dean no matter whether the latter was a pragmatic or idealistic man.

David went to the side of the wall, leaning against it while waiting for the police to arrive. He chose not to leave because he wanted to see what would happen next.

There was a police station near this university, so it shouldn't be long before the police arrived.

While leaning against the wall, David checked his cell phone, wanting to see if Jane was online.

However, to his surprise, Jane was not online. She was ofline, and there was even a status that she was sleeping.

'Is that not Jane?' David wondered with a strange expression.

Only moments later, he saw a police car enter the university grounds, but it wasn't just two or three policemen, there were at least ten.

Four of them were in the car while the rest were riding motorcycles.

The most interesting thing was that they even carried long-barreled weapons.

It gave a cold impression, as if they had come to arrest very dangerous criminals like terrorists.

They stopped in front of the university building, then went inside.

Audrey knitted her brows when she saw the policemen, looking very worried. She was of course worried that her little brother would be the one they would blame.

In no time, they arrived at the office, obviously familiar with the building.

"Officer, this is the culprit, he's been violent, hitting us over the head with a baseball bat." Alex shouted as soon as they arrived, pointing at David who was leaning back casually.

"The evidence is so complete, he even made one of our friends so badly injured that he fainted," he added in a harsher tone.

The policemen stared at him before looking at David, as if trying to understand something.

To people's surprise, they suddenly pointed their guns at Alex.

"Don't move or we shoot here," the captain said in a cold tone.

No matter how petty and ignorant the man was. When so many long-barreled guns were pointed at him, he instantly froze, and spontaneously raised both hands up.

"Cuff him!" The captain ordered the police beside him.

The policeman immediately moved, pulling Alex's shoulders until he fell to the floor.

He then pressed his back with his foot before cuffing his hands from behind.

"You are suspected of being a spy for a terrorist group, you must come with us to the police station," the policeman said.

Although the lecturers were beginning to dislike Alex for his petty attitude, they were still dumbfounded by the policeman's words. How could the fat man suddenly become a spy for a terrorist group.

Alex's skin turned deathly pale, even his friends showed horrified expressions even though they didn't know if it was true or not.

"Nonsense, when have I ever been connected to terrorists?" Alex shouted, protesting the cop's accusations.

"You can explain everything at the police station," the cop replied before pulling himself to his feet.

Right or wrong clearly didn't matter here, the cops were without a doubt intent on discriminating against Alex.

The few people who understood looked at the dean and then at David.

Things like this were already very rare in Europe, but there were obviously powerful people who could organize special laws to target innocent people.

Alex of course couldn't fight back. He was helpless as he was taken away by those policemen.

The students outside could only be confused when they saw Alex being taken away by the policemen with his hands cuffed.

Apparently, when he arrived outside, Alex's mouth was covered with a cloth, so he couldn't continue screaming.

He was quickly put into a car, flanked by two large police officers.

"This is scary, she's not here but can organize all this," said Aurora who was looking through her classroom window.

She suddenly felt hesitant to approach David as she concluded that this was all due to Jane's movements.

What she was worried about was Jane knowing her movements and then making bad schemes for her.
