My Wolf and I
Chapter 22 ✔

AIDEN

“Hello?” I whispered as quickly as I could over the phone. I knew that Jay was home, and I didn’t know if I was ready for him to know about my... issue.

"Aiden! I was just calling to make sure things were alright since we haven’t been able to get you in yet. How are things?" Ham asked causing my lip to wobble.

“It’s getting worse. Way worse. The exercises aren’t working anymore. No matter how much I tell it no it just gets louder and I-” he cut me off.

"Aiden listen. I need you to make an appointment as soon as possible. I need you to promise me that you will make an appointment Aiden, I don’t want to, but I will call your parents.”

“O-okay Ham. I promise.” I said before hanging up the phone. I sighed and laid down to look at the ceiling.

I couldn’t make an appointment with him directly because he only got his patients week by week. I didn’t know what days or times he had free; his assistant was the one that handled that.

How was I going to tell Jayvee? How could I look him in the eyes and tell him how broken I was?

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. “Sugar? Are you awake?” Jay asked as he came into the room. I smiled at him as he came to sit next to me on the bed. I sniffed as my lip began to wobble. “Hey, what’s wrong?” He wrapped his arms around me and brought me into his chest as he laid down with me.

Tears began to flow out of my eyes. “J-just please h-hold me,” I begged, holding his shirt in my fist. He started to rub my back as my tears started falling faster. I hiccupped as I began to sob into his chest.

I let all my worries and anxieties fall away with my tears. It took twenty minutes before I was finally able to calm down. I took three deep, shaky breaths and said, “I’m sorry”

“Sugar, you have nothing to be sorry about. I love you so much and if you need me to hold you while you cry there is nothing wrong with that. We are mates, that is what I’m here for. Well, that and some other things too.” He said jokingly and nuzzled into my cheek. I laughed and nuzzled him back.

“I love you too. So so much.” I ran my hands through my hair, trying to think about how I was going to start the conversation that was about to happen.

“You know I’ll love you no matter what right? Forever, my heart belongs to you for as long as it beats.” He said softly, I smiled at him and leaned over to kiss him. We kissed softly, when we pulled apart, he wiped my face clean of tears.

“I need to tell you something,” I said as he held my face in his hands.
