Kenzo's P.O.V

*********

"What the hell do you mean Opal's been kidnapped?!" Beck shouted.

I just told Mack, his guys, and my guys what Kendra said to me on the phone. Everyone is freaking out now. Except for Mack and I.

"Beck, go to the bar that Kendra and Marc are at. Find out what happened. Get them to show you surveillance." I ordered.

"Tegan, go with the man. I want to know everything." Mack ordered his men.

Beck looked at me as if needing permission. I gave him a nod, and both men left. Then Mack stood to address me.

"How the fu.ck did someone manage to kidnap my granddaughter?" He seethed.

"If I knew that she wouldn't have been kidnapped." I seethed back.

Someone fu.cking kidnapped my kitten. My person to protect. When I get my hands on this fu.cker, I'm going to end him.

Who could it be that took her? The stalker? Jane? I wouldn't put it past her.

Opal's stalker makes more sense. I still haven't figured out who it was though. From the footage that I got from Opal's apartment, the only person I could pinpoint was a woman. I could never see her face, or anything else descriptive. I only knew it was a woman because of the way she dressed and walked. I just assumed that whoever was stalking Opal, paid this woman to slip the photos under her door.

If only I could replace the woman, then I would know who was stalking her.

It just doesn't make sense. This person didn't start stalking Opal until after we started seeing each other. That's why she thought it was an ex of mine. Could she be right?

June was really crazy for someone I only let give me head once. I was never endearing towards her. Never gave her a reason to think we could ever be more than what we were. Yet, she still thought she had more of a claim over me than Opal.

Could there be another woman out there like that? One that is obessesed with me in the same way? An old secretary? Maybe a client from the Pet Store?

Opal has no real enemies. Her family sucks, but I doubt they would be willing to go this far. It's not like they need money either. Considering they stole almost five million dollars from Opal.

I'd say it was possible Jezzlyn did this, but she doesn't care enough. Jezzlyn might act like she wants me when Opal's around, but she has never tried to contact me before. I think she just doesn't want Opal to be happy. Jezzlyn isn't crazy enough to kidnap Opal. It's definitely not Brad. Jack just told me yesterday that the fu.cker is still in the hospital after my little visit to him. I've already dealt with his father as well. Mr. Montray knew what I had done to his son, he had already tried to come after me. All I had to do was show him a small amount of the proof I have of his indiscrestions. Then he shut right up after promising me that his son would never bother Opal or me again.

Maybe he was the one that did this. As payback. He could have hired someone.

"Just what kind of enemies do you have, Kenzo?" Mack spat out.

"I have no-"

I stopped as one person came to mind. The only enemy that I have. My grandfather.

Haru.

I squeezed my hands into fists as pure anger consumed me. That fu.cking bas.tard. He's going to pay for this.

I marched towards the exit with Jenson hot on my heels.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" Mack shouted.

I ignored him as I made it to my car. Jenson and I got it, and I started my drive to the family home. I can see that Mack had a few of his guys follow me. All I can hope is that they stay out of this until I can get Opal back.

The drive to the family home seemed to drag on forever.

"Kenzo, slow down." Jenson said.

"No." I stated.

"If we get pulled over, it'll take even longer to get her back." He said gently. "I texted a few people to dig into Haru. We will replace her Zo. Don't worry."

We better fu.cking replace her.

************

We made it to the family home in less than half the normal time. Jenson stayed outside to keep Mack's men from interfering. Of fu.cking course, all of this would happen when I was in the middle of dealing with Opal's apparent family. This sh.it couldn't get messier. I stormed into the house, and marched right back to Haru's office. A few of the house workers tried to stop me, but I ignored them all. I flung Haru's door open, and walked in.

Haru looked up at me with a smile across his face.

"I was wondering when you were going to get here," he said.

Then he looked at his watch.

"Much quicker than I expected. You must really love her." He said.

So he did take Opal.

I marched around Haru's desk, and grabbed the collar of his dress shirt. Haru only chuckled at me like this whole thing was fu.cking funny to him. Which just infuriated me more.

"I'm not the same little kid anymore, Haru. Do you want to try to hit me now?" I seethed.

Haru chuckled more.

"I know I could never win in a physical fight with you, Kenzo, that's why I had to resort to other measures." He said.

"Where is Opal?" I asked.

"Let me go first." He ordered.

I stared at Haru for a moment. If I don't do as he says.. If I beat the sh.it out of him instead.. What are the chances of me replaceing Opal then?

"You will never replace her without my help," Haru stated.

Reluctantly, I let him go. Haru cleared his throat and straightened his tie. I'm struggling to control my anger.

Just what did he do with her? Who has my kitten? Is she okay? Of fu.cking course, she's not fu.cking okay.

"Where. Is. She?" I seethed.

"I'll tell you on one condition," Haru said.

I only glared at him.

"Here." He said as he handed me a thick packet of papers.

"What the fu.ck is this?" I asked as I skimmed them over.

"A contract. One that says you will do as I say when it comes to Suzuki Industries. It also states that you will marry who I want. You won't be able to make another decision without my say so. If you disobey me, I will take everything you own and you will have nothing. No title, no money, no place to live. You'll be just like your deadbeat father," he said.

"What makes you think I'll go through with this?" I asked.

Haru smirked at me.

"If you want to make sure your little fake fiance doesn't get harmed, then you will. Otherwise, I might as well tell my men to do what they want with her, and dump her body later. Do you really think she'll want anything to do with you once she replaces out you were the reason she was gang raped? That's even if she survives those two brutes." He said, laughing.

I want to lunge at him. To tear him apart with my bare hands. I don't care how much jail time I do. I've never wanted to kill Haru more than I do in this moment.

But I can't. Opal's safety is all that matters. I need to get her back.

"You have three days to make a decision, Kenzo," Haru said. "After that, I can't guarantee your little Opal will be safe."

**********

"Are you really going to do this? Sign this? Let Opal go? Let Haru win again?" Beck asked.

I shook my head as I turned to Mack.

"Did you replace anything we can use?" I asked.

It's been two days. I have one day left before I know that Opal won't be safe any longer. Hell, I don't even know if she's safe right now. These last two days have been hell.

I haven't slept, or eaten. I'm constantly on the phone with Jack to see if he's found any proof of something we can use against Haru. Mack and his men have even been looking into Haru too. Unfortunately, no one has been able to replace a thing.

Not even where Opal could possibly be being held at.

Kendra and Marc haven't left my place since Opal's kidnapping either. They don't know as much as the rest of us do. I just think that they want to help as much as they can.

The police got involved, but of course, are useless. It's like they don't care at all. Which just makes me think that they are on Haru's payroll as well. I had to tell Kendra and Marc not to contact them again.

"My men are still working on it," Mack said.

I slammed my fist against the counter. This is ridiculous! Haru had to have left something, anything behind.

"I could just send my men over to pay him a visit." Mack offered for the thousandth time.

"After Opal is back. We can't risk something happening to her." I said.

Jack had checked everything. I've even went back to records at Suzuki Industries. Nothing. No one has found a thing.

Haru couldn't have been this clean all this time. At least when he-

That's it!

I pulled my phone out and dialed Jack.

"Zo, there is nothing new. I told you that I would-"

"I know." I interrupted him. "How far back have you been looking?" I asked.

"Since childhood, Zo." Jack replied.

"But what about when he was starting up Suzuki Industries? I know that there are missing documents at the office. When I asked about them, I just kept getting told that everything was there. Things were missing. What if you could replace those files? I highly doubt that Haru was able to build this company with his bare hands. He had to have made some deals." I rushed out.

"I'll look into it." Jack said.

I hung up, and looked up at Mack.

"I'll ask around. If he did some shady business, he most likely did it with one of the mafia's." He said.

I gave him a nod.

Don't worry kitten, I'm coming for you.

********

"We have everything?" I asked Beck.

Beck nodded.

We managed to replace the slightest bit of information on Haru. Turns out, he fell in badly with the Japanese mafia in his younger years. Apparently, they suspected that Haru had killed their leader. They'd been waiting for years for Haru to let his guard down so they could attack him. I offered Haru up on a silver platter in exchange for some pictures and signed documents of Haru funneling money from them. Even though this was years ago, it's enough to incarcerate Haru for the rest of his life. Suzuki Industries will take a hit. Nothing a good press conference can't fix. Now that Haru is out of the picture. I have a clean record and no one will ever replace a thing about me.

Now, all I need to do is threaten Haru until he tells me where Opal is.

My phone rang. I pulled it out of my pocket to see it was Jack.

"Hey, we are on our way to Haru's," I said.

"I think I know where they are hiding Opal," he said.

"What?" I asked.

"Haru had a P.I. I found out who. Then I followed his records. He's been renting a motel about two hours outside of the city. I called the place and gave them some story about my dear friend. They said that the P.I. checked in the day Opal was kidnapped. There was another guy and a young red-haired woman with them." He told me.

I froze.

"What motel?"

**************

By the time we made it to the motel, police were crawling through the place. Jack sent me pictures of the P.I. So when I saw him sitting in the back of an ambulance, I recognized him immediately.

I marched up the man, and grabbed him by his shirt.

"Where is she?" I asked.

The man shook his head slowly.

"I don't know," he said.

"What the fu.ck do you mean you don't know? You kidnapped her." I spat out.

The man shook his head again.

"I walked out to take a call. I shouldn't have left her alone with him." He muttered.

"With who?" I seethed.

Paramedics walked past us just as I dropped the man. They are wheeling out a body on a cart. A body covered in a black bag. A dead body.

"It's not her." The man told me.

I turned my head back to him.

"From the looks of things, she killed him when he tried to attack her. I'm glad she got away." He said.

"Where the fu.ck did she go?" I asked angrily.

The man shrugged his shoulders.

"Someone drugged me. A woman. Knocked my a.ss out. When I woke up, the police were here, Evan was dead, and Opal was gone. The woman wanted her though. I know it. She had been watching the room all day. I never thought she'd try something like that. I even had her checked out." He told me. "Shoulda got that check done sooner. Then I would have known she was after Opal." He muttered.

I shook my head, trying to wrap my mind around what he was telling me.

"Are you telling me that somebody else kidnapped Opal?"
