Can I see you tomororw? What am I? Desperate?

I probably wouldn't feel that way had Kenzo said yes. He told me that it wasn't that he didn't want to see me, but had some buisness to take care of. When I asked him 'on a Sunday?' all he did was say that it was a family thing.

I wonder if it has something to do with the art gallery that Akane is opening. I didn't ask more though. Kenzo knows that I would be interested in hearing. Because he didn't tell me, I assume that he wants to keep it to himself. And I don't want to push him to tell me either.

After I actually came into my apartment last night, Kendra bombarded me with questions. First was, why the hell do you look like you just got fu.cked in the parking lot. Which made me blush furiously. So, naturally I had to tell them everything. Not that Marc or Jed really wanted to hear the details.

The four of us stayed up for a little longer talking. Then I showered, texted Kenzo good night, and went to bed. I fell asleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow too.

Must have been that intense orgasm I had. Apparently being built up like that for so long, and then finally getting a release took a lot out of me. I'm not sure why it was so different than any other time Kenzo builds me up like that.

I wish that I could see him today. If it wasn't so early in the morning, I would maybe even call him right now. Just to hear his voice before I have to roll out of my bed, and start my day.

I grabbed my phone off of my bedside table, and look at Kendra sleeping next to me. She let out a soft snore, and I giggled at her. Then I pulled up my texts. I have one from Kenzo from a half an hour ago.

Mr. Suzuki: Good morning kitten. Sorry that I couldn't see you today. Relax for the day.

I smiled as I wrote out a reply.

Me: Good morning Kenzo. It's okay, I understand that you have things to do.

Less than a minute after I sent it, my phone started to ring.

Kenzo is calling me. My eyes went wide as I scurried off of my bed. I went to my bathroom for a bit of privacy, and not to wake anyone up.

"Hi." I answered.

"Good morning beautiful. Did you just wake up?" Kenzo asked.

"Yeah, I hadn't even gotten out of bed yet." I said with a small laugh.

"You didn't sleep in. It's only just after 8. Go back to sleep." He ordered.

"But I'm not tired," I said.

"I didn't drop you off until after 1 in the morning, and I know that you didn't go right to sleep." Kenzo argued

"So." I said. "I'm used to being up early. I promise I'm fine." I said.

"Fine, but relax today." He ordered.

I rolled my eyes.

"Kendra was thinking about going shopping today, and I was going to go with her. I need to grab a few things." I told him.

"When are you going then? I'll have Ben drive you both." Kenzo said.

My eyes went wide.

"Kenzo that really isn't necessary," I said.

"I would feel much better knowing you're safe." He said.

"I will be. We'll make Marc go too. How about that?" I asked.

Kenzo sighed.

"Fine. Text me though, and leave your location on your phone." He ordered.

"Yes sir." I said with a smile.

"Kenzo." I heard someone call in the background.

"I gotta go kitten: Call me when you get home later." He said

"Okay. Have a good day Kenzo." I said

"My days are never good when I can't see your face kitten."

He replied

A wide smile spread across my face.

"Guess I'll have to send you some pictures as well," I said.

"Guess you will-"

"Kenzo!" That voice came again.

Kenzo sighed heavily.

"I'll talk to you later baby."

Then he hung up.

I brushed my teeth before walking out of the bathroom. I started some coffee, and pulled out a box of frozen waffles for everyone for breakfast. Nothing is going to bring my mood down. Today is going to be a good day.

*******

"Kendra, I am tired. Can we please stop for some food or something?" I asked.

Jed, Marc, Kendra, and I all left together to shop today.

Marc was the first one to ditch us. After a couple hours, his patience ran out. He made some excuse about having to run a last-minute errand somewhere and left before we could even question him more about it.

My little brother was the next to go. We walked right passed his tattoo shop. Where he made us stop, and come in so that he could introduce me to his boss and friends. They were all very nice, and we even had a conversation about letting Jed put a very small tattoo on me.

We were there for almost a full hour. Eventually Kendra decided she was ready to leave. Jed was not however, and stayed behind.

That was hours ago. It's the middle of the day now. Kendra has stopped at every single store. When she said she wanted to go shopping I should have known she didn't mean the grocery store.

"What would we do with all of our bags though?" Kendra asked innocently.

"Our? I have two." I said.

Kendra frowned at me.

Maybe I should have taken Kenzo's offer on letting Ben drive us around. I could have even waited in the car. Or used him as an excuse to cut this short. I was not going to interrupt his day though.

"How do you even replace this all fun?" I asked.

Kendra chuckled at me as she shrugged.

"I love shopping. It's like therapy." She said.

Kendra walked into another store with several bags on her hands. She walked up to the lady behind the desk, and asked her if she could hold her bags while we shopped. I was surprised that the lady seemed so willing. Until..

"If you would like us to close the store for you Miss Westen, I would be happy to. Although, we have another high paying customer here that I cannot kick out." The lady said

Kendra can have whole stores close down just so she can shop? And other people can too? That's crazy.

"No no, that's alright. Is your other customer alright with us shopping as well?" Kendra asked.

The lady behind the desk smiled warmly.

"Yes, he was clear that he wanted to make this a quick stop." She said.

He? Isn't this a women's clothing store?

I looked around, but only see items for women. Maybe hes a cross dresser, or getting a gift for his girlfriend. I shouldn't be so quick to judge.

Kendra turned for the clothes. She held several items up to me as she looked through them. I rolled my eyes every time she held something up to me.

"Can't she hold your bags while we go get some food?" I asked.

"Uh, no." Kendra said incredulously. "I can't ask her to do that."

"Why no-" I froze at the sound of a new voice.

"We'll take this, plus what she's wearing, and did you save that necklace I asked for?"

I know that voice. I heard that voice earlier this morning. No way.. What is Kenzo doing here?

Kendra's eyes went wide at the same time that mine did.

Although, my friend was the first to turn her head in the direction of Kenzo's voice. Kendra leaned into me as she kept her eyes on Kenzo.

"You're boyfriend is here." She whispered.

I frowned at her.

"He is not my boyfriend." I whispered back.

"Oh sorry, your boss that you have been secretly dating, and fu.cking. He's here." She corrected herself.

I gave Kendra a bored look.

"There's.. a woman with him." She said.

That had my eyes snapping over. Only to see Akane standing next to Kenzo with a huge smile on her face.

Kenzo's back is to me, so I'm not sure what his expression is. He is dressed similarly to yesterday. Expensive dark jeans, and a crisp white shirt.

Am I drooling at his back right now?

I oogled for too long. Before I could pull myself together, or hide.. Kenzo turned around with a few bags in his hand. He froze midstep as his eyes connected with mine. Akane looked from her bother than back to me.

"Oh hi, Opal right? Your my brothers secretary right?" She asked me.

I nodded.

"Yeah. It's nice to see you again Akane." I said.

"Who's Akane?" Kendra whispered in my ear.

I looked back at Kendra amused.

"Akane, this is my friend Kendra. Kendra, this is Akane.

She's Kenzo's sister." I said.

Akane held her hand out to Kendra. Who took it, and started to shaking it enthusiastically. Thankfully, Akane only laughed at Kendra's excitement.

"Wow, you're so pretty. Must run in the family or something.

What are you guys doing here? Shopping?" Kendra asked.

Akane nodded.

"It's my birthday today. Kenzo always brings me here to pick out my present." She told us.

"Happy birthday," I told her.

"Yeah, happy birthday!" Kendra said

Aka me giggled

"Thank you both," She said

"That's very sweet of you Mr. Suzuki." I said to Kenzo.

Kenzos deep black eyes bore into me. Igniting fire inside of me. He offered me a small smile, and I smiled right back.

"You may call me Kenzo outside of work Opal. I'd like to think we are close enough for that." He said.

I blushed.

Kendra snorted.

"I'll say. Pretty sure you know my best friend more than I do." She mumbled.

My face heated even more. Kenzo doesn't look offended though. In fact, I think he looks kind of amused.

I must not have been the only one to noticed, because Akane looked between her brother and I.

"Because my brother works her too hard?" Akane asked with a laugh.

"Well, there are a lot of late nights. Even on Saturday's." Kendra said.

Akane looked up at Kenzo.

"I thought you didn't work weekends?" She asked

Oh no.. What if Kenzo didn't want anyone to know?

I know that Kendra wouldn't care about that. Keeping our relationship professional at work is one thing, but.. To be seeing me the way we are, and keep me a secret from your family.. I don't think Kendra would stand for that.

I want to respect Kenzo's wishes though. I don't know the first thing about his family. I didn't want to tell my family about him. Mostly because they are extremely unsupportive, but.. I didn't even want to tell Jed

I don't want Kendra to push Kenzo into a situation that makes him uncomfortable. Especially when we haven't even had a chance to talk about things yet. I'll just tell Akane that we had some work to finish-

"I don't." Kenzo stated. "I took Opal on a date yesterday."

It's not possible for me to get redder than I am right now.

Akane's eyes went wide.

"You're dating your secretary?" She asked.

Oh no.. she didn't sound too happy about that.

"Uh, well, it was more like a friend-" I tried, but Kenzo interrupted me.

"Yes I am." He stated.

Akane looked from her brother to me. I gave her an awkward smile. Then a wide grin spread across her face.

"Really? No way! That's so cute! I knew I liked you when I first met you. Kenzo has never admitted to dating anyone before. Finally!" She said.

Kendra sputtered out laughter. Kenzo rolled his eyes. I need some air before I explode.

"Alright Akane, you're going to scare her away." Kenzo said.

Akane only waved her brother off.

"Have you guys eaten yet? Do you want to get something with us?" She asked.

"Well, Opal was just complaining about being hungry. But I have too many bags to go somewhere." Kendra said.

"You haven't eaten?" Kenzo asked me with a hard tone.

"I had a yogurt for breakfast." I mumbled.

"It's after 6 in the afternoon Opal." He said irritated.

"It was my fault. I dragged her around to every store with me." Kendra said.

Kenzo didn't take his eyes off of me. I gave him a small pout, hoping he wouldn't be too upset with me. Then Akane clapped her hands together gathering our attention. "Well, we have a car outside, so we should all go eat together."
