Sorry for the late update guys! It'll just be one chapter today too!

"Well, it's only a sprain. Should be fine in a couple of days.

Though, it'll be hard to walk on until then. I suggest you do light walking, but still rest. Keep it wrapped, and elevated when you're not on it." The doctor said.

I can't believe that Kenzo had a doctor do a house call to a hotel. I didn't even know that doctors still did house calls.

Although, I shouldn't be surprised. It is Kenzo.

"Thank you doctor." I said

"Call me if the pain gets worse, or the swelling doesn't go down." He told me.

"Okay. Thanks." I said with a small smile.

I watched from the couch as Kenzo walked the doctor to our hotel room door. They shared a few hushed words that had me narrowing my eyes at them. Then the doctor was gone.

Kenzo turned his eyes back to me. He hasn't said a thing to me since I twisted my ankle. There have been looks, and words shared to Beck, but nothing actually said to me. "Beck, go get Opal some food." Kenzo ordered.

"She can just get room service..." Beck trailed off once he noticed the death glare that Kenzo is giving him. "Ya know what, it would be faster if I just went. Be right back."

Beck scurried out of the room. Kenzo walked over to me. He sat on the table, and grabbed the compression wrap next to him. Kenzo gently pulled my foot into his lap, and carefully began to wrap my ankle up. "I'm sorry Kenzo.. I didn't mean to cause you any trouble. I knew that I should have just stayed here." I mumbled.

"I'm not angry with you kitten." He said

Although he didn't look up at me.

"Are you upset with me then? Is it because of me talking back to June? I'm really sorry"

"Stop." Kenzo ordered, finally looking up at me. "I'm not angry with you at all. I couldn't care less about you talking back to June. She had it coming." He said.

I twiddled my fingers as I stared back at him.

"Then. why are you so upset?" I asked softly.

Kenzo sighed as he looked over my body. His eyes lingered on the hidden hickeys of my exposed skin. Then they looked down at my foot as Kenzo finished wrapping my ankle.

"It's not at you, and I'm sorry if it's coming off that way. I was only angry because you got hurt. I didn't mean to take it out on you, I was just worried. I feel better now that the doctor said it wasn't broken." He told me.

"Then why do you still look upset? I feel like you've been acting weird for that whole hike. Did something happen before?" I asked him.

Kenzo looked up at me with tired black eyes. They look a bit duller than usual. Less intense, and.. possibly a little sad?

"You want the truth?" He asked me.

I nodded my head.

"Of course I do," I said.

Kenzo blew out a breath as he rubbed the back of his neck.

He looks.. kind of uncomfortable. I've never seen him look that way before.

"I don't like that you hid the marks I left on you." He stated.

Is Kenzo.. blushing? His cheeks are the slightest bit red. I made Kenzo Suzuki blush.

I opened my mouth to respond, but Kenzo held his hand up stopping me.

"I know why you did it. I understand that you don't want anyone to know about us yet. You haven't even made a decision about being with me yet. It's just.." He trailed off.

Kenzo stared into my eyes with all of that normal intensity, and then some.

"I wouldn't have minded if you wanted to flaunt them." He admitted.

My jaw dropped open. I tried to speak, but no words were coming out. I took a deep breath, and tried again.

"I.. Kenzo, I didn't think that you wanted anyone to know," I said

I blew out a breath.

"I should have talked to you about this yesterday, when I was confused about the rooms. I.. I don't know what your plan is when it comes to work. I know that we have to keep things professional, and I don't want to be a secret. I have no idea what that means for how we are supposed to act though. I don't know what you want either, but.." I trailed off.

I leaned forward to grab Kenzo's face and look deep into his eyes.

"If you're only holding back because I haven't made a decision yet, then-"

I was interrupted my Kenzo's phone going off. He made an annoyed grunting noise while pulling it out of his pocket.

His face turned sour as he read whoever is calling him.

"I have to take this kitten, I'm really sorry." He said.

"It's alright, I know you are an important man." I said.

Kenzo smiled at me. He kissed the top of my head before walking into the bedroom area. Kenzo closed the door leaving me alone.

I wonder what that call was about.

*************

"Okay, where are we going? The anxiety is eating away at me." I asked with a laugh.

While Kenzo was on the phone still, Beck came back with all kinds of food for me. Beck and I banned together to convince Kenzo to skip out on the team building activity during lunch. We even offered to use me as an excuse. I mean, I did sprain my ankle. Now, we are walking through town. Well, I'm half limping.

Sort of. I'm more of leaning on Kenzo as he watches me struggle with great annoyance.

"I knew we shouldn't have done this. You should be resting."

Kenzo grumbled.

"The doctor even said that it would be smart to still walk." I said. "Besides, Beck has me completely excited about this surprise." I said.

Kenzo narrowed his eyes at his friend.

"Please don't tell me that we are going to see Jay." He said.

Beck smirked.

"Kay, I won't tell you." He said.

Then nothing.

"Who's Jay?" I asked.

"Jay, is the guy that did Kenzo's tattoo. We all went to highschool together." Beck told me.

"Wait, does that mean we're going to get tattoos?" I asked excitedly.

Beck stopped in front of a tattoo parlor. He smiled at me.

Then he opened the door, gesturing for me to walk in.

"Yes we are." He said.

I excitedly limped into the shop. Kenzo was quick to pull me back to his side. He wrapped my arm around his waist, as he tucked me under his arm.

"Thought I saw the goon squad coming in."

Kenzos grip on me tightened as a man walked from behind a corner. He's tall, not as tall as either of the men I'm with though. He has a lanky build, blue eyes, and long golden blonde hair tied in a bun at the back of his head. Beck came around us to hug the man.

"Told ya I'd be back." He said.

"Yeah, but with Zo? I couldn't believe it." The man said looking at Kenzo. "I was so sure that he hated me after putting that huge piece on him. Ya know, since you never came back." He said teasingly.

Then the man's eyes fell to me. A slow sly smile crept it's way onto his face. He looked me up and down making me feel slightly uncomfortable.

"You got yourself a girl Zo?" He asked.

"Yes. I did." Kenzo replied sternly.

I looked between the two of them.

"This must be the girl you were telling me about." The man whispered loudly to Beck. "I see what you mean about him being different with her."

I looked up at Kenzo. He's different with me? Different how?

The man took a step towards us, and held his hand out to me.

"I'm Jay. I went to highschool with these two goons. Nice to meet ya." He introduced himself.

I took his hand.

"Opal, Kenzo's secretary. Nice to meet you too." I said softly.

"Cute and shy." Jay commented before letting go of my hand. "Perfect for you Zo." He teased. "And your secretary?

How unlike you."

Unlike him?

"Don't make a fool out of yourself Jay." Kenzo said.

Jay laughed at that.

"So, you guys here for some ink?" He asked.

"Opal and I are getting one," Beck announced.

"No she isn't," Kenzo stated.

I frowned up at him.

"Why not?" I asked.

"You promised your brother that he could put your first on you." He told me.

My frown grew.

"Jed doesn't need to know." I mumbled.

"Are you telling me that you won't feel too guilty?" Kenzo asked.

I looked away from him. It's unfair how well he knows me already.

"Well, then you have to get one." I said.

Kenzo walked us to the counter where this is a large book.

He opened it to reveal a ton of tattoo designs. Some of them on people, some just drawings.

"What do you think I should get?" He asked me as he flipped through the pages.

"Maybe you should get the word 'kitten." Beck offered in a teasing tone.

My eyes bulged as I looked up at Kenzo.

"Don't do that. What if we break up?" I asked panicked.

"Oh, so you guys are together." Jay said matching Beck's tone.

"Don't worry kitten. I'm not going to do that. Not yet anyways." He said.

Kenzo looked down at me amused. God, I really hope he's Joking. That's just bad luck.

"What about that one you wanted around your wrist, and up your forearm? It was a dragon, which you got on your chest and shoulders instead. I could do a snake instead." Jay offered. That would be kind of hot. It would show more than his chest and shoulder piece does. I'm not sure if that's a good idea as CEO, but as Kenzo's lover. I like it.

"Draw me something up. No color. Except the eyes of the snake." Kenzo said.

Then he looked down at me.

"If it's possible, I would like to them to have piercing blue eyes. Use Opal as inspiration."
