In the end.. I called Kendra and Marc. I wanted to try to put my mind at ease, but they weren't all that helpful.

Now, I'm offically convinced Kenzo has a crazy ex of some sort out there. That she's completely out to get me. Even if he told me he's never been serious with anyone. Kendra and Marc were furious that I wouldn't call Kenzo.

I just.. don't want to add onto his stress. I want to be his peace. I don't want to make things worse.

Besides, I have a body guard across the hall. I live with Jed. Plus I have pepper spray. I'll be fine. Thing's will be fine. It'll all be fine.

Well, it's Monday morning. Nothing else happened yesterday. Kendra an Marc stayed the night. When Jed got home we told him everything.

Jed demanded that we move back home for a while. That I quit my job, and say good bye to Kenzo. Obviously I refused.

First of all, I am not uprooting my whole life because of some crazy chick. I'm literally always surrounded by people. Ben picks me up every morning, and takes me home every evening. Jed is getting buiser at his shop, so Kendra and Marc offered to take turns staying with me.

Plus, the body guard across the hall. I didn't tell anyone about him. Partly because I haven't even met the guy myself. Partly because I don't want them to know that Kenzo is paying someone to watch over me.

Still, part of me feels like I should tell Kenzo. This does involve him. There are pictures of the two of us together. He deserves to know.

I planned to tell Kenzo first thing when I got to the office. Only.. I haven't had the chance. The moment I got here I was bombarded with several things. Other departments needing things, emails galore that I have to sort through, and Kenzo asking me to do several things.

Kenzo has also been acting weird. I think it might be because we've been so busy all day. He seems even more stressed out then when he dropped me off yesterday.

Still, my heart kind of hurts. I know that we have to keep things professional while we're here, but.. He has barely even looked at me.

I even found out that he fired June before I got here. Honestly, I'm still mad about that. I wanted to see her face when Kenzo told her to fu.ck off. Although, I'm sure it went much more professional than that.

Beck was the one that told me about it. He said that he was the only other one there. That June had really made a fool out of herself. Beck said that she thought Kenzo was joking at first, then she started to say that she was only fired so that her and Kenzo could be together.

Am I really sure that June isn't the one who took these photos? I mean, the woman is crazy. She's completely delusional. Beck told me they had to call security because she was freaking out so bad in the end.

Apparently, Kenzo knew that was going to happen. Which is why he did it all before anyone could get here. To not embarrass June more. It was kind of sweet I guess.

Still though, he could have let me be here. I would have woken up early, and made popcorn for the show. Ultimately, it was probably a good thing that I wasn't here though.

"Opal."

I turned my head to face Kenzo. His black orbs are on me, but looking duller than usual. I gave him a bright smile, that he did not return.

"I need you to send out applications to fill June's position. You will be doing all of the interviews. You'll have to make time to do this weekend though. We are too busy this week." Kenzo said.

I gave him a nod.

"Got it." I said.

"I sent you back the emails of meetings I need you to make time for. Some of the places you will have to call back instead of email. Do not let them tell you a time. You make the rules. Remember that." He said. "Okay." I said with a smile.

Kenzo stared into my eyes for a moment. His black orbs started to turn intense. Excitement started to pour through me.

Is he finally going to show me some attention? Is he going to kiss me? Smile? Anything?

Kenzo opened his mouth, but didn't get a chance to say anything.

"Hey Opal, Mr. Suzuki." Eric said from behind me.

My face fell into a look of pure annoyance. Kenzo gave Eric a small smile before returning into his office. I watched him go as my heart sank.

What is going on with him today? It's not really like Kenzo to be like this, or to let us be interrupted by anyone. Especially Eric. I know Kenzo doesn't like that we have lunch together. Is he okay?

I turned around in my chair to face Eric.

"You ready for lunch?" He asked with a bright smile.

"Uh.." I trailed off as I looked down at my messy desk.

"You can't say no. You need to eat." Eric said.

"I'm sorry Eric, I don't have time." I said.

"Opal, go with Eric. You two can run a few errands for me while you're out. Ben will take you." Kenzo said coming back out of his office.

Kenzo looked down at his watch, as if he's waiting for something. Which is strange because Kenzo has no meetings today. I would know. Despite how busy we have been all day, he hasn't left his office, or had anyone come up. Aside from Beck. "That's okay Mr. Suzuki, I can drive us anywhere you need us to go." Eric said.

Kenzo's eyes hardened. He looked up at Eric as he clenched his jaw. I gulped.

"You will be taking Ben." He stated.

"Uh.. okay." Eric said uncomfortably.

Oh, this is going to be so awkward.

******

"I just don't see why he couldn't let me drive. What do we need a driver for when I have a car?" Eric asked for the hundreth time.

Kenzo wasn't kidding when he said he needed a few things. At least this time I'm not picking up his dry cleaning and doing his grocery shopping. I think I'd kill Kenzo if he me do that again.

Instead, Ben has driven us around to several other large companies that we do buisness with. I dropped paperwork off, and picked paperwork up. We did stop for food, but I feel too overwhelmed to really eat.

Eric has not been helping. All he's done is complain about how weird it is Kenzo is having me do this. I've been trying to ignore him, and just do my job. It's getting more and more difficult.

"You seem kind of stressed Opal. Maybe you should take a break. I can have Ben stop somewhere. We can get fresh air." Eric suggested.

He can have Ben stop somewhere?

I looked at Ben through the rearview mirror. His eyes connected with mine, and then he rolled them. I bit down on my bottom lip to not laugh.

"I just want to get back to the office Eric. I have a lot to do still."

**********

"Did I just see you get out of Kenzo's car with Eric?" Beck asked me when I made it back to my desk.

I shrugged.

"Kenzo told us to go together." I said.

Then I looked up at Beck.

"He sent me all around town delivering paperwork. Eric seemed pretty certain that that was strange." I said.

Beck just stared at me with a smile in his eyes.

"It was strange wasn't it?" I asked.

Beck shrugged.

"Maybe Zo just thought you deserved some fresh air." He offered.

I scoffed as I looked down at my still messy desk.

"Don't you think I have too much to do for all that?" I asked.

"I don't know Op." Beck said.

I looked up and narrowed my eyes at Beck.

"Did Kenzo just want me out of the office? He kept looking at his watch before I left." I said.

Beck shrugged again. He kept his eyes locked with mine, but they changed. They are no longer playful like normal. Instead, they are a bit sad.

Is that pity I see?

"I don't know Op. I doubt it though. You know our Zo loves having you around." He said.

I leaned back in my chair as I looked Beck over.

"Are you lying to me?" I asked.

I have no idea how I would even guess that. I just.. have a feeling. Beck might not be lying, but I feel like they are both hiding something from me.

Beck opened his mouth to reply to me, but then Kenzo's office door opened. Kenzo walked out and looked between the two of us. Then he looked at his watch.

"Opal, you may go home now. I'll let Ben know to wait for you outside." Kenzo said.

My jaw dropped.

"B-but, it's only 6 o'clock. Look at all of the work I have to do." I said.

Doesn't he want me to stay late? Have dinner together? Relax together maybe?

"Take it home with you." Kenzo said.

Then he walked back into his office, completely dismissing me. I looked up at Beck with utter confusion. He only offered me a small smile.

"Go home Op, get some rest. I promise things aren't as bad as they seem right now." Beck said.

Things seem bad? I just thought they were weird..

I shook my head as tears started to fill my eyes. I gave Beck a single nod before gathering up all of my papers. I shoved them in my bag, and started to leave. Beck grabbed my arm stopping me. I didn't look up at him. Just stopped so he could say whatever it is he wants to say.

"Opal.. Please don't let this bother you. I swear to you that-"

"I don't care what's going on." I interrupted him. "Kenzo should have learned his lesson the last time he did this to me." I said.

"Things are.. more complicated right now." Beck said.

I sighed.

"Sounds like your problem now. I'm just the secretary. Good night Mr. Rossi." I said.

With that, I walked out with my head held high.
