“You’ll stay here,” I tell Rocco, rubbing a hand over my face. “Watch the warehouse tonight and if it stays quiet, pull back and come home.”

“Got it.”

“And call the airstrip. Tell them I’ll be there in a couple of hours.”

He nods and turns away to make that call.

I felt my phone vibrate a couple of minutes ago, so I pull it out now to look at the text.

It’s from my girl. Of course, it is.

“Tell them I’m headed there now,” I call out to Rocco. I’m not waiting anymore.
