Never Late, Never Away Chapter 2200

"So, what do you want? Terminate the contract? If that's what you want, I'm fine with that. I'm better off resting at home. Also, you're not qualified to discuss these matters with me." Immediately, Noelle felt a stab of anger.

Delilah was right, for she actually had to file a request to come here. Clearly, Delilah knew her company well.

"Ms. Young, what are you talking about? You're asking me what do I want? Well, I want to help you load the pots into my car, of course. Anyways, it's getting late, huh? So let's finish up quickly." Noelle forced a smile.

"Oh, it is getting dark. I'll continue moving the pots, then." Delilah turned and sauntered away.

She knew that she was justified. As such, she had no reason to fear Noelle. Delilah snickered before shaking her head. She then exhaled out loud. Young girls nowadays are too childish. They want to show themselves off even though they are incapable of doing anything, she lamented silently. When Delilah finally arrived home, Joan came to welcome her. "Ms. Young, did she deliberately make things difficult for you?”

She knew Noelle was here to cause trouble for her, so she didn't want to drag Delilah into the mess.

"Don't worry, I'm fine, albeit a little tired. I'm going to go take a short nap." After saying that, Delilah collapsed onto the couch.

She seemed utterly drained. Joan lowered her gaze worriedly.

"Her name's Noelle Ford, right? She's a troublemaker, that one. Be careful of her."

Hearing her advice, Joan nodded before returning to the kitchen.

She had experienced Noelle's actions firsthand. She felt like she was caught in an awkward position, for the woman kept misunderstanding her and Caiden. "Got it," she uttered softly.

"Mom!" Lucius' voice rang out clearly.

"Grandma, are you okay?" Lucius came to Delilah and touched her forehead carefully.

"I'm fine. I just need to take a quick nap."

"Oh, I see. Mom, why don't you cook Grandma's favorite dishes tonight so she can recover?"

Good boy. Slowly, Delilah's eyes fluttered shut.

"Grandma, dinner's ready!" Lucius hollered at the top of his lungs.

However, the woman on the couch didn't move an inch.

"Grandma?" The boy went to the couch and tapped on her shoulder, but Delilah didn't respond.

Fear crept into Lucius' heart instantly, and he ran to get Joan.

"Mom, why isn't Grandma responding to my calls?" His voice was trembling.

Huh? Is she too tired? Joan put her fork down and rushed over to the sofa.

"Ms. Young, dinner is ready. You can go back to sleep after dinner, alright?" Joan raised her voice.

"Mom, I think something's wrong with her," Lucius remarked.

Joan had the same thought. After all, Delilah had never acted this way before. Even when she felt unwell, she would inform everyone beforehand that she would skip dinner. Hence, this was really strange. Before long, they could see the color draining out of Delilah's face.

We need to bring her to the hospital at once! Joan whipped her phone out to call someone.

Alas, that someone didn't pick up. Dejected, she glanced at her phone that was showing Larry's number on the screen.

Why is he always unavailable when I need him?

Forget it. I'll call Dustin.

"Alright, got it. Calm down, Joan. I'm at the supermarket, so I'll be there in a minute." Dustin hung up, grabbed his jacket, and ran out of the supermarket.

"Mr. Silverman! We aren't done yet. Where are you going?"

"That's right, we haven't checked the expenditures yet!"

"Just leave it until I come back!" Dustin yelled without looking back.
