Never Late, Never Away (Vivian and Finnick) -
Chapter 3064
Chapter 3064
Seeing Joan instantly relax, the woman smiled. Youngsters are known to be reckless.
They just need time to cool off.
With that, the woman turned and walked away.
Looking at the figure in the distance, gratitude gleamed in Joan's eyes.
There are certain things I replace difficult to tell my family and friends, but I can always tell them to a stranger, right? Since we don't know each other, I won't need to worry if he or she will laugh at me. Besides, a civilized person wouldn't laugh.
When the sky grew dark, Joan tugged her coat tighter around herself and turned to leave.
Back indoors, her phone kept ringing the moment she switched it back on.
Perhaps she found it annoying, she picked up the call and put it on speaker before throwing the phone on the sofa.
"Joan, where are you now? We're all going crazy here!"
Jessica's voice sounded panicked on the other end of the line.
"Tell me where you are and I'll go right over."
Going crazy, huh? How crazy? Joan lips curled into a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"I've gone abroad" she answered impassively.
The person on the other end of the line fell silent.
Why did she leave the country all of a sudden? Unsettled, Jessica scratched the back of her head.
I have to tell Larry about this!
"Joan, let me explain. The scandal about Larry is actually fake. Don't believe a thing you see or hear" Jessica quickly said.
Fake?Who's she trying to bluff?Never mind if only one person says it, but it was even in the newspapers! How could it possibly be fake? Joan bit down hard her bottom lip, trying to quell her anger. "If there's nothing else, I'm gonna hang up now-"
With that, she directly ended the call.
"Joan, which country are you in now?" Nancy asked tentatively through the phone.
Naturally, Joan wouldn't disclose that information. It was rare that she could come out for some air alone.
Hence, she didn't want anyone disturbing her peace and quiet.
Moreover, her anger hadn't yet subsided.
"Nancy, I need space, so stop calling me, all of you."
Joan hung up right after that.
When the line went dead, Nancy's eyes gradually dimmed.
It looks like she's really mad this time. I've never seen her leave the country out of anger.
She must be furious to have gone abroad just like that.
Damn that Jake! He went to great lengths, didn't he? Going so far as bringing up all those false facts! The plan was to have the wedding a few weeks after the proposal was a success, but look what happened
now.
The bride has run away.
Nancy paced around the area, feeling utterly helpless.
What should we do now? By the side, Jory massaged his temples and suggested wearily, "Should we send someone to search for her abroad?"
Sounds easy, but send them where though? Nancy was frustrated out of her mind.
How am I supposed to send people in search of her when I don't even know which country she went to? She wrung her hands as her face clouded over. Damon it, Larry! Why did you have to drink your sorrows away? Look at what happened.
That jerk has something to use against you now.
"Stop pacing around. You're making me dizzy; Jory grumbled before closing his eyes. Nancy immediately stopped and whipped out her phone to make a call. "If nothing's working, let's search through every country for her.
"What? Are you crazy? Do you know how many countries there are in this world?" Jessica exclaimed over the phone.
Joan's merely upset and wants to relax by herself.
Why bother taking such drastic measures? Besides, she's also a grown woman who can take care of herself.
