No Chance of Remarriage Get Lost (Elisa) -
Chapter 1048
Chapter 1048 Reduced Sentence
"You're really heartless, Elisa Benett."
Gareth didn't say anything else. This time, he didn't question her too much, either. He wasn't as overbearing as he
had been.
Elisa's eyes flickered, and confusion was intertwined in her eyes. What… on earth is he going to do?
Gareth didn't say anything as he started the car again.
He didn't look at her until they reached Wickam Manor. After he stopped the car, he didn't say a word. He sat in the
driver's seat as if waiting for something.
Elisa was baffled but didn't want to say too much to him. She got out of the car and walked to the door of Wickam
Manor.
The moment when a servant opened the door, and Elisa walked in, Gareth drove away.
It was evident that he didn't intend to enter Wickam Manor. He had only wanted to send her here.
Elisa turned around with some surprise. When she saw his car disappear entirely from her view, contempt flickered
across the corners of her mouth.
That's right. Gareth doesn't like me in the first place, so he naturally doesn't want to interact much with me. He only
sent me here so that Grandma would be happy.
Elisa didn't think about it further, and she walked in.
"You're finally here to see me, Liz!" The old woman's voice was intertwined with surprise and delight but mostly
anticipation.
Elisa immediately looked at the old woman walking down the stairs, and her negative emotions disappeared
altogether. A smile even appeared in the corners of her mouth at that moment. "Grandma."
Her voice was very soft, and her gaze exceptionally gentle.
Julia nodded at once and went down the stairs quickly.
Elisa immediately went to her and said gently, "Slow down, Grandma. Don't fall!"
Julia instantly pretended to be displeased. "Silly girl, are you calling me old? Don't think about my old age. I'm so
healthy now."
Elisa couldn't help but laugh. She said, "I know you're in good shape. I was just afraid that you weren't being careful.
Young people can fall too."
Old Madam Wickam suddenly laughed lightly. At that moment, she had reached the last step of the stairs. Old
Madam Wickam reached out one hand and immediately held Elisa's hand as Elisa extended hers. She said with
some yearning, "You haven't been here to visit me in a while. I miss you so much."
Guilt flashed across Elisa's eyes. "It's my fault. I've been busy recently."
"Ah…" Julia pulled her to sit on the couch and said with some distress, "I know you've been busy dealing with
Norman and his family these days. But what on earth happened in the last hearing? Why didn't you refute them?"
Elisa's lips twitched. "They provided some evidence and felt nothing was wrong, so their sentence was reduced."
"How abominable!" Julia retorted. She paused and looked at Elisa immediately before saying gently, "Sweet girl. I
know your heart must be in pain, but you must do certain things step by step. I will help you think of a way. I won't
let them get away so easily!"
Rose wasn't the only one who had killed Elisa's father. Not only were they acquitted so quickly, but Norman also got
away. Who would be able to accept it?!
Julia was livid, but she didn't express it because it would make Elisa feel worse.
