Chapter 1358 Impatience

Gareth remained silent and kept staring at Elisa.

Elisa refused to let Gareth accompany her and replied sternly, "He's still weak and is not in the condition to go with

me."

"Breakfast is over there, and the medicine is ready. Thomas, let's go."

Elisa nodded at Thomas and ignored Gareth.

Thomas turned to Gareth to gauge his reaction.

Gareth looked stern and uncompromising as steel. His gaze was cold.

Suddenly, he said, "Follow her closely and make sure nothing happens to her."

"Yes, Mr. Wickam," Thomas answered and did not dare to be careless.

Then, he set out with Elisa to the address provided by the masked man. It was a café around thirty-five kilometers

from their hotel.

The masked man only gave the café name and address. As Elisa was about to call him and ask where he was

seated, she suddenly noticed the masked man sitting facing the main entrance, waving at her.

He wore a different mask this time. It had gold and black patterns. He also wore a black shirt, formal pants, and

leather shoes.

On the whole, he seemed cruel and indifferent, like a powerful emperor.

"I will only talk to you alone."

Eden's expression darkened when he noticed Thomas standing behind Elisa. He pursed his lips and was displeased.

Elisa turned to Thomas and said, "You can wait for me outside."

"But…" Thomas was worried.

Elisa looked at Eden calmly. "Since you will only talk to me, we can sit here. Don't you dare play any trick. I won't

tolerate them."

"Please have a seat."

Eden gestured for Elisa to sit down.

Thomas watched them sit down and observed Elisa's gaze. Ultimately, he did as Elisa instructed and went to the

doorway.

However, he did not dare to leave and kept staring at them. He feared something could happen to Elisa at any

time.

After all, Gareth had ordered him to keep watch.

He would be in serious trouble if anything were to happen to Elisa. Gareth might even transfer him to a remote

corner of the globe as punishment.

I won't allow Gareth to blame me for any mistake. Most importantly, I can't allow anything to happen to Elisa!

"I'm here as you requested. You should fulfill your promise and tell me why you helped me." Elisa looked sternly at

Eden, who was still flipping through the menu.

Hearing her, he smiled and replied casually, "Ms. Benett, since you're here, why don't we order coffee first and take

our time to chat? Why the need to rush?"

His tone carried a hint of sarcasm.

Although Elisa was annoyed, she had no choice but to smile and reply indifferently, "If you were in my place, would

you have the patience to have coffee with a stranger and chat amicably about who wanted to kill you?"

"Waiter, bring me two cups of coffee."

Eden ignored Elisa and raised his hand to summon the waiter.

Elisa frowned at being ignored. However, since she was already here, it was pointless to leave so soon.

Still, she knew Eden did that deliberately to make her flustered. She did not mind acting the part.

Thus, she raised her voice unhappily, "I have no time to waste. Tell me what you want from me so that you will

reveal who tried to kill me."

Eden smiled vaguely, "Ms. Benett, why would I invite you here if I'm not completely sure? Moreover, I came here

alone. If I wanted to do anything to you, wouldn't you and the person you came with fall into my trap the moment

you entered the café?"
