Chapter 1636 For the Rest of Her Life

Elisa furrowed her brow. "Why do you keep following me?"

Unexpectedly, Gareth smiled and replied, "Aren't you attending the Garner family's banquet? I'll go

with you. We should get some formal wear first."

Elisa looked at him in confusion.

She recalled how furious he was a moment ago and could not understand how he could happily ask

her to shop for formal wear with him.

"Gareth, did you hurt your head?"

Why is he so weird?

Gareth looked at Elisa's expression and knew what she was thinking.

He gradually parted his lips to speak. "No, I didn't."

"Then, why do you…"

Elisa could not figure him out, but Gareth interrupted before she could finish her question, "The most

important thing is that Will does not influence you."

Hearing that, Elisa finally understood what was going on. She argued, "I won't let him emotionally blackmail me, but

I also won't be with you. Still, I'm grateful to you and Will for saving my life. I'll do my best to help you."

I'll only help you two as a friend and nothing more.

Gareth nodded. "Can we not discuss this anymore? We will attend the Garner family's banquet together. Don't we

also have to attend the wedding after that?"

However, Elisa rolled her eyes and furrowed her brow tightly.

I did promise Grandma to attend the wedding as Gareth's wife.

As for the Garner family's banquet…

"Didn't you say you won't attend it?"

But Gareth replied, "I changed my mind because you're going."

Elisa was stunned.

She pursed her lips and retorted, "What does it have to do with me going to the banquet?"

Gareth kept following her despite her protest.

He even got into her car and sat in the front passenger seat.

Her words did not affect him at all. He behaved like what he did was natural. Seeing that, Elisa felt frustrated and

annoyed.

She turned to Gareth unhappily and said, "Gareth, do people know how shameless you are?"

The way Gareth behaves now is a stark contrast to his usual self. The difference is night and day.

Gareth's lips gradually curved into a smile. He seemed in a good mood. "Others don't know, but I won't hold it

against you if you tell anyone."

Elisa glared at him furiously, but Gareth remained unaffected.

She knew he would never get out of the car.

Therefore, she would not lose her cool and drag him off the car.

Instead, she started the car and growled, "Where to?"

Gareth answered immediately, "No. 9 Estrela Street."

It was a high-end beauty salon and haute couture boutique.

As Gareth named the destination, he was even happier than when he heard Elisa reject Will.

On the other hand, Will's mood was considerably more somber than Gareth's.

He had not only faced Elisa's rejection and embarrassment from Gareth's remark. After they left, he

had to deal with his mother and Jocelyn simultaneously.

Marsha's voice was loud and firm. "Elisa caused you to become like this. How could you still want her

to be with you for the rest of your life? I'll kill her if there are any permanent complications in your

legs!"

However, Will ignored Marsha and glanced at Jocelyn coldly.

Seeing her indignant expression, he demanded sternly, "What are you doing here?"

Will's eyes were cold and gleamed intimidatingly.
