Chapter 1658 Am I That Stupid

Wait a minute. Am I angry because Gareth is concerned about Linda? I shouldn't be bothered whether

Gareth still cares about Linda. Why am I angry?

Elisa was speechless when she realized her frustration, and she despised herself. Gareth was right—

she was indeed jealous.

Little did she know Gareth caught her subtle frown. He didn't believe Elisa. "Elisa, you can be true to

yourself, just like me. It's not difficult."

Elisa was at a loss for words and simply couldn't accept it because Gareth made her sound like a

coward.

Elisa rebuked crabbily, "What do you mean? If I were afraid, I wouldn't have lost myself and wasted

three years with you. You're the one who initiated the divorce. I'm not cold-blooded like you. Of

course, I had feelings for you during the three-years marriage."

Elisa reached out her hand to push Gareth, but Gareth stood motionless like a mountain.

"Since you still have feelings for me, and I've figured out my own feelings too, why don't you give me a chance? Is

my intention lately not obvious enough?" Gareth questioned Elisa.

Sure enough, his intention couldn't be more obvious. He always cared for her, knew her preferences, and even

shielded her from the gunshot. He did all he could to restore their relationship. However, Elisa had been desperate

and deeply hurt, so she couldn't easily forget what had happened just because of Gareth's recent actions.

Elisa tightened her grip on Gareth's wrist, causing him to wince in pain, but he still stepped forward to Elisa

relentlessly. Finally, Elisa jabbed a needle into his neck.

Gareth stared at Elisa in disbelief as he didn't expect her to harm him. Perceiving Gareth's expression, Elisa uttered

aloofly, "I've told you we should keep a distance. Since you refused to listen, I'm not a pushover either."

Gareth didn't answer. Just as Elisa was about to leave, he covered his chest and frowned in agony. He didn't let out

a cry, but his distorted expression said it all.

Elisa halted her step when she saw Gareth's condition. Recalling the scene when Gareth shielded her from the

bullet, her heart softened, and she reached out her hand to feel his pulse. However, the next second, Gareth

grabbed her waist, seized her hand, and pinned her to the wall once again.

Before Elisa could realize what was going on, Gareth pressed his lips against hers and forcefully restrained her

hands above her head.

Elisa's heart jolted as she stared at the man in shock. She instinctively struggled to break away from him, but she

was not as strong as Gareth.

"Let…" Elisa attempted to say something, but Gareth kissed her even more fervently.

Elisa's face turned gloomy. She couldn't break away from him no matter how she struggled, yet she

couldn't bring herself to bite him. Suddenly, Gareth slumped onto the ground with his face turning

pale as a sheet.

Elisa glared at him threateningly. "Gareth Wickam, you used the same trick twice. Am I that stupid to

you?"

It was the first time Gareth forced himself upon Elisa, disregarding her feelings, which disgusted her.

Gareth didn't reply to her but collapsed onto the floor with his eyes closed. Elisa's heart skipped a

beat. "Gareth?" She called out to him.

Perceiving no response from Gareth, she crouched down to nudge him, but Gareth remained

motionless…
