Elisa turned to look at her, “What’s the matter?”

“The Tabor family!” Rachel blurted and then continued swiping through her phone. Her attention was wholly on the

phone before her.

Elisa was curious. The Tabor family?

She suddenly thought about the time she attended a dinner at Southdale with Gareth. They had bumped into Nicole

and even exchanged pleasantries. Nicole was a calculative person, but she held herself as a noble would. Although

she gave off an air that made it hard for people to approach her, they didn’t hate her. Of course, that was the

impression Nicole gave her that day.

Rachel once again exclaimed after reading another Tweet, “Oh my gosh! They’ve given an official statement!!” She

then walked over and passed the phone to Elisa. “Look! The Tabor family is moving here!”

Elisa was doubtful, “Why would they suddenly move here? Weren’t they doing well over there?”

“They will keep the company in Southdale as a branch, and the branch company in Bayswe will become the main

headquarters. Most of their shareholders and executives will be coming over. Why would they do something like

this? Why would they suddenly change their main headquarters? This isn’t their demographic.” Rachel questioned.

“Even a starved camel is bigger than a horse. What’s more, they are not camels; they’re dragons.” Elisa passed the

phone back to Rachel and went back to arranging things for dinner.

“There’s more than one dragon here. Can they really get a piece of the action here? They were ruling over

Southdale, but here…”

“This has nothing to do with us. Let’s not bother with it. Come, let’s finish with the preparations.”

Elisa’s doorbell chimed at five forty-five. Rachel saw Sean through the CCTV and shouted in surprise, “He’s here!

Mr. Jordan is here, Elisa!”

“Well, open the door,” Elisa said as the tips of her mouth lifted up.

“Right.” She pressed the button twice and said with anticipation, “Oh my goodness! I can’t believe I’m finally going

to meet Mr. Jordan! Not only is he not late, but he came fifteen minutes early.”

“Since you like him so much, you should know that he is an early bird.” Elisa said with a smile.

Rachel giggled, “I forgot.”

The two of them waited by the door. Rachel was peeking through the peephole and immediately opened the door

when she saw the elevator door open and Sean walking out.

Sean was startled by the two girls waiting for him by the door. He was holding a fruit basket.

He turned to Elisa and said, “What are you doing waiting for me out here? You’re injured.”

“I’m much better. Come in and sit.” Elisa beamed.

Sean nodded and passed the fruit basket to Rachel.

“How are you, sir?” She couldn’t hide the excitement in her voice as she received the basket.

“Thank you, Uncle Sean.” Elisa said appreciatively.

Sean nodded and then raised an eyebrow at Rachel, standing timidly to the side. “I’m only a little over fifty. Must

you call me sir?”

The color faded from Rachel’s face as she hurriedly tried to explain herself, “Of course not! It was my mistake. I

was just trying to be polite!”

She wasn’t the first to call him sir.

“Uncle Sean, let’s have dinner. This is my best friend. She’s been looking after me this whole time.”

Sean nodded and addressed Rachel, “You can call me Uncle, just like this little brat here.”

“Uncle!” Rachel was flabbergasted.

Sean once again nodded and changed into household slippers. He washed his hands, and the three of them sat at

the dinner table.
