Elisa nodded with a smile. “Let’s not be bothered by what has already happened. We’re sisters. You don’t have to

worry about such a small issue. We know each other well.”

Elisa nodded with a smile. “Let’s not be bothered by what has already happened. We’re sisters. You don’t have to

worry about such a small issue. We know each other well.”

Sheena was assured when she heard these words. She nodded solemnly and stopped standing on ceremony.

Nonetheless, she would always remind herself not to act recklessly next time.

Mistakes could be forgiven for the first few occurrences, but if she repeated them, it would cause estrangement

between both of them, even if Elisa didn’t take it to heart. The last thing she wanted was to lose a close friend like

Elisa.

Thereafter, Sheena and Rachel left while Elisa walked back into the building.

However, she did not expect to see a tall figure standing in front of her apartment when she stepped out of the lift.

Elisa frowned when she saw the man glaring at her coldly with his eyes filled with hostility and sarcasm.

“Elisa Benett.” The man spat word by word.

Elisa had no intention of talking to him, let alone allowing him to enter her house, so she turned and walked back

into the lift.

However, before the lift door could close completely, Gareth placed his hand on the door and forced it to halt.

Then, the door opened gradually.

Elisa stared at Gareth and didn’t want to say a word. She was tired of being pestered by him.

“Gareth Wickam, what on earth do you want?” She asked wearily.

No words could describe how annoyed she was at this man.

Gareth entered the lift and pressed the button to the ground floor after closing the door.

With her brows knitted, Elisa remained silent because she didn’t want to be entangled with him. Besides, her wound

had yet to recover, so she tried to avoid being tugged by Gareth.

Little did Elisa know that Gareth remembered she was injured and hence didn’t pull her just now.

Soon, the two arrived at the ground floor. Gareth remained silent and emanated a cold, fearful aura, yet Elisa did

not fear him.

As soon as the lift door opened, Elisa stepped out of the lift, but Gareth held her arm gently and went forward with

her cooperatively without straining her

Elisa stopped and stared at him coldly. “What exactly do you want? Everything is going according to your plan now,

and I didn’t refute you. When will you let go of me?”

Gareth stared at Elisa frigidly and snorted, “Everything is going according to my plan? Do you mean that you’re just

playing along?”

His words were filled with bitterness and sarcasm.

The next second, he blurted, “Get into the car.”

Elisa furrowed her brows. “What the hell do you want?”

She abhorred him for behaving like a maniac.

“Elisa Benett, don’t make me repeat myself!”

Elisa lifted her arm to shove Gareth away but to no avail because the latter was gripping her wrist tightly.

Looking sullen, Elisa knew she was no match for him at that moment because she was physically weak. So, she had

no choice but to follow Gareth into the car.

Then, she turned to look at him and asked in resignation, “So, what on earth do you want?”
