Elisa sighed in frustration. “You have a job of your own. You didn’t have to come and keep me company. Although I

came with Gareth, he will protect me at the very least, even if he’s doing it for the company’s benefit.”

“Of course, I know that. I just came to get some fresh air. It just so happens that you’re here. Let’s have a good

time together when you’re free!”

Rachel seemed to be particularly expectant when she spoke, but how could Elisa not understand her good friend?

Elisa could tell that Rachel was extremely reluctant just by looking at her.

But Elisa knew that Rachel had come over to accompany her willingly.

Before Elisa could think about it further, Rachel looked at her and said, “Liz, which room are you in? Why don’t I

move into your room and stay with you?’

Elisa’s eyes flashed slightly. “I’m in Gareth’s suite.”

“D*mn! Another suite! How can these men be so abominable!” Rachel couldn’t restrain herself and wanted to lose

her temper, but she regretted her words as soon as she said them.

Elisa stared at her. “Are you staying in Vincent’s suite?”

She found out why Rachel was so unenthusiastic.

Rachel gritted her teeth but told Elisa about it in the end. “Yes! He’s crazy. Only one suite was available when we

arrived, and the suite was reserved for him all year round. The receptionist also told me that the rooms here have

to be booked in advance. He must have guessed there weren’t other rooms available when he suddenly booked this

place.”

Elisa’s eyes flashed slightly, but she didn’t say anything.

Gareth must have also thought to book this place at the very last minute. Furthermore, this hotel was the best in

Phoenix Bridge. It was customary for Gareth to have a year-round room reserved for him.

What Vincent said made sense too.

Elisa sighed. “Although this environment is great, it’s slightly secluded and rough. I can defend myself, and Gareth

won’t let anything happen to me. You can head back.”

“Why should I head back? It hasn’t been easy for me to come. How can I head back?” Rachel pursed her lips and

continued, “You mustn’t chase me away. I really like this place!”

Elisa sighed in exasperation. The server happened to walk over with the food that they had ordered.

“Let’s eat first.”

“Alright.”

At the same time, Linda was at home. She had just returned.

Previously, she had been told that her discharge procedures would be done within two hours. The person made it

happen, but she and her mom were worried that there would be other problems, so they put on a farce and had

only just left the hospital.

The person did, in fact, replace evidence that would prove her innocence. It was air-tight. Even Linda felt the other

party was terrific when she looked at it!

But…

After she returned home, she was slightly astonished. “Why are we here? Why aren’t we going home?”

“This is home, too.”

“Did Dad buy a new house?” Linda looked around, and her eyes were filled with disdain. “But this place is too small.

How can we live here?”

Rose’s expression changed slightly. A boundless rage flickered across her eyes. Her heart would feel more at ease if

this was a new house, but it wasn’t!

It was a house that Norman made his assistant rent for them!

But she didn’t dare tell her daughter that. She was afraid that Linda couldn’t take it and that she would be affected

again.

Rose paused before looking at Linda and saying indifferently, “We’ve been cleaning the house so we can

reorganize. We’ll be staying here temporarily for some time.”

Linda evidently didn’t believe her! Her brows furrowed slightly as she looked at Rose. “There’s nothing that needs to

be cleaned in the house. What on earth happened?”
