Chapter 817

Linda took a deep breath. She was even more upset now, "Why are you still trying to lie to me? Do you think I'm

unreliable and will tell other people about it? Or is it because you think I'm incapable of helping? Either way, we're a

family. I'm your only daughter. Why won't you tell me? I want to help!"

"You shouldn't hide things from me to protect me. That's not fair! You might think that's the right thing to do, but I

don't! That's fraud!!"

Linda yelled at the top of her lungs, and her eyes were filled with profound sorrow.

Norman was taken aback. He sighed helplessly, "What do you want us to do so you will believe us?"

Linda shook her head and looked at them with disbelief, "I've already said so much, but you still wouldn't tell me the

truth!"

Rose spoke up, "Linda, please calm down. This isn't about keeping things from you, but whatever you're saying now

is confusing to us. Why would someone tell you that all our properties have been sold off?"

Rose wanted to ask Linda some more. After all, the matter was getting out of hand, and someone must have been

trying to sow discord. Linda jeered coldly, "Both of you have been lying to me for so long. The person who told me

about this wouldn't be happy. She'll tell me the truth eventually. Are you going to allow your daughter to get

tortured by that fu*king b*tch?"

"Who? Who told you this!!"

"Elisa!!" Linda had no intention of shielding Elisa.

After saying this, the expressions of Rose and Norman looked even more complex.

Elisa! It was Elisa!

She had been getting relatively close with the Wickam family nowadays. Even Gareth had a change of heart and

treated her differently than before. So, it wouldn't be a surprise for her to learn about their situation.

Norman and Rose were knocked for a loop.

"How did it come to this?" Linda bellowed, biting her teeth, "What have you done? Does that mean we are

bankrupt? And the Wickam Group has been hacked!"

Linda glared at them, but suddenly she realized something.

After hanging up the phone, she kept thinking about the causality. She couldn't understand why her father spent so

much money, and she couldn't replace any information about the investment project that her father mentioned.

Even if there were an investment project, it would be jointly funded by all the shareholders. And it must have been

a massive project for her parents to fork out their fortune in this project willingly. But she couldn't replace anything

despite all the effort, which showed something was wrong.

But just as she was putting her thoughts together, suddenly, she noticed a loophole. She stared at Norman

incredulously and asked tremblingly, "Don't tell me it was your work that the Wickam Group's security has been

breached."

Rose was overwhelmed with shock.

At this juncture, it was meaningless for her to say anything more.
