Chapter 822

Rachel was nervous, watching from the side. She went deathly pale when she saw Elisa's wound was still bleeding

and had not healed. How could it be so severe?!

Her injury didn't improve the slightest after twenty-four hours!

Rachel felt so sorry for Elisa. Her energy and radiance disappeared in an instant!

Looking at the hideous wound, she couldn't help but grieve with Elisa! Her silky smooth skin had been mutilated!

It used to be perfect without blemishes and flaws, but now...?!

Initially, the doctor intended to distract her attention lest the pain gets unbearable. But seeing Elisa not bat an eye

during the treatment, she was impressed by her endurance despite being so young. She then expedited and fixed

Elisa's wound.

The doctor was precise and fast, and the fixture was a breeze for Elisa. Until she finished treating all her wounds,

only the doctor stood up and reminded again, "It's best to stick to a light diet for the time being. Avoid water as the

wound is deep. It will take a while to recover and avoid strenuous exercise."

"Okay," Elisa acknowledged with a nod.

The doctor smiled and said, "Well, I'll head back first. If you have any questions, feel free to call me."

"Okay. Thank you so much, doctor." Rachel uttered and followed the doctor to see her off.

The doctor smiled, didn't say anything more, and left with her medicine chest.

Elisa tried to button up her shirt, but Gareth called out, "Why do you always have to be so stubborn and act tough?"

Elisa was flabbergasted. All she did was try to button her shirt.

But before she could say anything, Gareth stood behind her and buttoned up her shirt.

His unprecedented initiative caught her off guard. She froze in place.

He could see every inch of her back in that position.

Her coat was loose. It was imminent if Gareth accidentally caught a glimpse of what was in front and underneath

her coat.

An inexplicable emotion glistened in his eyes as he quickly fastened her buttons.

Elisa kept quiet throughout the process. She didn't know how to face him. After he was done, she stood up and was

ready to return to her room.

Gareth didn't say anything but watched her walk into her room. After seeing the doctor off, Rachel lingered at the

door, undecided if she should go back in.

Gareth was in the living room. Last night, she had to go back because he was around. If she had stayed around,

Gareth wouldn't be happy.

And Elisa seemed to have made progress.

After contemplating, Rachel said, "Well... I'll leave the space to you guys. I'm leaving now."

She retrieved her bag from Elisa's bedroom and fled shortly.

Gareth finally eased up a little after Rachel left. He walked into Elisa's bedroom and sat down on the same chair.

Elisa looked at him, puzzled, "Is there anything I can help you with?"

Gareth looked at her indifferently, "Why must there be a reason for me to see you?"

Hadn't they always been like this? He wouldn't come to her for no reason. What was wrong with him? He was being

bizarre.

She didn't want to argue with him and said lightly. "Did you happen to go out for an investigation today?"

"No."

She gazed at him inexplicably, "Aren't you supposed to do that today?"
