Chapter 839

To him, she was more headstrong and stubborn than independent.

But... she has never asked me for any help. I have to think of the obstacles she might face.

His frown deepened.

Rachel couldn't help exclaiming. "It must hurt a lot! Even though I've never experienced this - I've only been

through less severe injuries -1 couldn't take it already. Yelling out loud might alleviate the pain."

The doctor was silent, allowing them to talk freely to distract Elisa from the pain. She was also trying to be gentle

with cleaning her wounds to minimize the pain as much as possible.

Elisa smiled and replied gently, "Don't wony. I'm fine."

From her expression, it seemed like she wasn't feeling any pain at all.

Rachel sighed. "Look at you..."

She knew Elisa had quite a high pain tolerance. In addition, she didn't want to worry Rachel or show her

vulnerabilities in front of Gareth, she had been tolerating the pain.

Alas... But since Elisa insisted, I can't do anything about it.

When the doctor had finally finished her work, she said, "The recovery is on track, but it's not optimal. You have to

rest and eat.

Otherwise, it's prone to infections."

Elisa nodded. "Okay."

Though she seemed cooperative, Gareth knew she would do whatever she liked.

With a frown, he wanted to talk some sense into her but managed to stop himself just in time.

Elisa nodded. "Thanks." "Don't wony about it - it's my responsibility."

The doctor smiled and walked out of the room with a medical kit in her hands.

As soon as she walked out of the door, she heaved a sigh of relief. The pressure is finally gone!

When she was treating the wound, she was trying to get a grip on herself. Fortunately, she had a rich experience.

Otherwise, she wouldn't know how to handle the situation toward the end.

Vincent walked out of the bathroom when he knew everything was done. He had been waiting in the bathroom and

finished two cigarettes, but that didn't seem to have any calming effect.

He had been thinking about Gareth and Elisa, as well as Rachel and himself. Gareth and Jeremy had asked him if he

had fallen for Rachel, but he told them he was not interested in a tomboy like her.

What about now? Is it purely because of Mom's belongings?

At that moment, he had no answer, and his vexation increased.

After walking out of the bathroom, he saw Rachel beside Elisa, checking if the latter needed anything.

His frown deepened, annoyed by the scene.

Is Elisa the only person in her world? What about me?

Vincent gritted his teeth and took a deep breath to control himself, but it was futile.

He walked to Rachel and said coldly, "I'll send you back."

She immediately frowned. "You can go back on your own. Why do you have to drag me with you?"
