Chapter 894 Keep It to Yourself

“Okay.”

Both of them continued the meal. Veronica tried to replace several topics for conversation, but Nicole was still

distracted, only giving short replies.

It seems like Nicole is going to do something about it after all. She has always been cool-headed and classy. Yet,

because of a man… Alas, I guess this is life.

They went shopping after the meal until they reached the said time.

Two days later, Elisa’s phone rang just when she was about to finish her morning work.

Looking at the number, her gaze flickered before she picked it up.

“Hello, Ms. Tabor.”

“How do you know my number?” Nicole asked in surprise.

Elisa ignored her question. “Is there anything I can help you with?”

“Are you free for lunch later?”

She looked vigilant as she wondered the reason behind that. Nevertheless, she agreed without asking any

questions. “Sure.”

“Good. I’ll send the address to you later. See you.

Elisa agreed and hung up.

Soon, it was time for lunch, and Elisa went to the lunch spot set by Nicole.

It was a high-end restaurant only the upper class would patronize; the average person wouldn’t have the budget.

Hence, there weren’t many customers.

Usually, businessmen would bring their work-related clients here for a discussion. It was a more appropriate setting

for such occasions.

Nicole was sitting in the open area when she spotted Elisa. She gave her a nod with a smile, which Elisa returned.

I assume this is unrelated to work since she didn’t book a private room.

As soon as Elisa sat down, Nicole gave her the menu. “What would you like?” she asked, smiling.

“I’m fine with anything. You decide.”

Elisa returned the menu to her, and Nicole accepted and ordered several dishes.

After the waiter left, Nicole noticed Elisa had no intention of speaking.

“It’s not about work. I want to talk to you today.”

“I guessed.” Elisa nodded, but she didn’t ask any questions. Instead, she waited for Nicole to speak.

Nicole was suddenly at a loss for words. Looking at the beautiful, intelligent woman before her, she suddenly didn’t

know where to start.

However, she became determined when she remembered Linda’s words.

The next moment, she smiled at Elisa’s indifferent expression.

“How much longer is the project with Wickam Group? I’m looking forward to seeing the result.”

She seemed to be impressed by Elisa, as though she was going to offer her some projects of Tabor Group.

Nevertheless, Elisa knew very well that it was just a pretense. Hence, she wouldn’t divulge too much to Nicole, not

knowing what she was planning.

“I’m not quite sure,” she replied casually. In fact, it would be completed in two months, but this was confidential.
