No Chance of Remarriage Get Lost (Elisa) -
Chapter 898
Chapter 898 What She Wanted
Vincent was dumbfounded.
Gareth’s dark face seemed to ease slightly at that moment.
He picked up his cutlery and continued eating silently.
When Nicole saw that he wasn’t saying anything, her heart had an indescribable feeling of scorn. It hadn’t been
easy for her to eat with Gareth, but she never thought it would be because of Elisa.
But she had never been the type of woman with trivial thoughts. She had managed the company systematically for
so many years. At the very least, she wouldn’t reveal anything at this time. She smiled lightly and said, “Mr.
Wickam.”
Gareth’s gaze fell on her.
He didn’t say anything and was waiting for her to go on.
Nicole paused before she smiled and said, “You’ve been working with Ms. Benett recently, Mr. Wickam. Can you
spare some time and come to Tabor Group for a partnership? Lately, there are two great projects that we need you
to look over, Mr. Wickam.”
Gareth glanced at Elisa at the side, who had no thoughts. Coldness streaked across his eyes.
At the next moment, he nodded indifferently. “Sure.”
Nicole was slightly surprised. She never thought Gareth would agree so quickly. It looked like Elisa wasn’t as
important to Gareth as she thought.
Nicole smiled and said, “What about later in the afternoon?”
In other words, they would be hanging with each other in the afternoon as well.
It seemed like an innocent invitation for Gareth that Nicole deliberately asked in front of Elisa.
Elisa ate quietly from the start until the end. She didn’t want to listen to anything unless it had something to do with
her.
The coldness in Gareth’s eyes grew. At the next moment, he said in a low voice, “Alright.”
Nicole was elated, but she just smiled. “Great.”
She didn’t express any excitement. Even if everyone knew she liked Gareth, she didn’t want to pressure him.
Otherwise, Gareth would only choose to distance himself from her. This wasn’t what she wanted.
The four clearly had their own thoughts, but the air was harmonious. Everyone ate quietly and naturally ignored the
cold air emanating from that one person.
For the rest of the meal, no one said anything. Nicole cleverly chose to say nothing.
Elisa didn’t want to talk to them. As for Vincent…
He wanted to say something but was hinted to by Gareth a few times not to. He could only stay silent in his
frustration.
As for Gareth, he didn’t want to say anything from the start until the end. Furthermore, he was once again angered
by Elisa’s disinterest and lack of attention.
After they finished eating, Elisa had no intention of staying. She looked at everyone calmly, “Since you have work
matters to deal with, I’ll be leaving now.”
Nicole smiled and nodded. “Alright.”
She was only happy to see Elisa go.
Vincent raised his brows and looked at Elisa. “Do you mean to leave by yourself? We can leave together since we’re
all returning to the office.”
“I drove here. You should have driven too.” Elisa turned him down without hesitation.
Vincent glanced at the silent Gareth and couldn’t help but sneer silently. At the same time, he looked at Elisa. “We
didn’t drive. Our driver sent us, and he might still be on the road. I don’t want to wait for him. You can send us.”
Elisa was dumbfounded.
Nicole’s eyes flashed slightly. At this time, if she offered to drive them, she would come off as being overly
aggressive. But she would seem too ignorant of social cues if she didn’t.
