No More Waiting, She Chooses Love -
Chapter 670
Between Sinclair and Fanny, there was clearly some juicy gossip, and naturally, I wasn't about to miss out on it.
Fanny didn't keep anything from me either; she candidly told me about Sinclair catching her and Yates together, and sighed, "Yates meeting my parents definitely had Sinclair's fingerprints all over it."
"Ha! Really?" I chuckled. "Does Yates actually see Sinclair as a threat? I mean, he's practically your uncle."
"Who knows? Men's egos and possessiveness can blow up to the point where they'd get jealous of a male mosquito buzzing around you," Fanny mused.
"That just proves he's deeply in love with you," I commented, recalling their emotional farewell at the airport.
Turns out, love's anguish isn't just in death but in separation too.
Fanny fell silent, and I realized I might have touched a sore spot, so I quickly changed the topic. "Our company's hosting a body paint show, with top models from Seabreeze City and even nationally, leagues ahead of any celebrity. Want to come and indulge your eyes?" "Body paint show?" Fanny looked at me. "The kind where they're naked?"
I couldn't help but laugh...
"Yeah, I mean, I would love to have them bare it all, but Uncle Sam probably wouldn't allow that."
"Felicia, I see you're really embracing your wild side," Fanny teased.
"Life's too short," I argued, "we should enjoy it fully-eat, drink, and be merry. Why should guys have all the fun while girls can't?"
Fanny nodded. "That's a fair point."
She chuckled, wrapping an arm around my shoulder. "Felicia, it looks like you're finally letting go."
"Was I that uptight before?"
Fanny hummed in agreement. "Back when you were with the Wagner family, you were the perfect little lady. Now, you're finally being yourself." Maybe she's right.
If I were a flower, I used to be pruned and kept. Now, I'm wild, growing freely in nature.
"So, are you coming? I'll save you the best spot," I asked Fanny as we were parting ways.
"We'll see when the time comes," Fanny gave me a non-committal answer.
"You're not avoiding it because your 'uncle' might be there, are you?" I teased.
Fanny gave me a thumbs-up, acknowledging my point. Indeed, the presence of a family elder carries a natural authority, regardless of

finalizing the sale. The offer was et
reasonable and surprisingly smooth, making me wonder if I was walking into a storm.
"Mr. Smith, there's no catch with this bar, right?" I double-checked with Grant before signing anything.
Having him handle the negotiations wasn't about saving money but securing the deal and checking the bar's background.
"You know it's handled by your brother, right? You can relax," Grant's assurance calmed me down.
Trust is a funny thing; despite our relationship being strictly professional, Grant instilled a sense of reliability.
Maybe it's because he's one of Ernest's guys, and if Ernest trusts him, so can I.
After signing the contract, the bar owner made the announcement in front of all the staff.
Haley was there too, her face turning from pale to purple.
Clearly, she hadn't expected me to clinch a deal worth millions just like
that. This was about showing o
power, something she longed for but couldn't have.
I could tell, her disdain for me just notched up a level.
As everyone applauded and respectfully addressed me as Ms. Hudson, I officially announced Haley as the bar manager.
