Sophia noticed that Lenora seemed a bit downcast. Cashally, she asked, "Who was on the phone just now?"

"A friend" Lenora bit her lower lip.

"Hmph, as if I don't know how many friends you have. The friend you're talking about wouldn't happen to be Tyrant Fuller, would it?"

Lenora was rendered speechless.

Sophia saw that her guess was right and couldn't help but comment, "Why on earth did he call you? To pester you? Nora, you better not go soft and forgive him!"

"No. I won't." Lenora stated firmly. "His friend just called to tell me he's drinking. I was asked to stop him. He got hurt trying to save me, so I can't just turn a blind eye."

Fiona said. "I believe Nora isn't that foolish, but right now, we need to give her some time to figure things

Two hours later, Lenora and her two companions arrived in Torthbury.

Upon leaving the airport, they took a bus to the hotel.

Looking out of the bus window, they saw traces of snow lining the sides of the road.

The hotel that Sophia had booked was Aurorillac Hotel

She said, "I read online that this hotel is right next to the pier, boasting great views. Plus, there's an outdoor hot tub on the top floor. We can experience the contrast of chilling cold and soothing warmth when we get there. Experiencing the winter of Nardor while soaking in a rooftop hot tub was indeed an extraordinary experience.

After settling into the hotel, the trio sorted out their luggage. Following a brief rest, they headed to the hotel's restaurant for a meal.

The restaurant in the hotel was facing the dock, allowing one to enjoy delicious cuisine while taking in the beautiful view.

Lenora had just settled down across from Sophia with her meal tray when she heard someone call out to her. "Miss?" Upon lifting her gaze, Lenora saw Connor approaching with a face full of joy and surprise.

Lenora nodded at him and smiled.

Sophia gave Lenora a meaningful glance before she said, "Oh, we meet again. Are you staying here too?"

"That's right." Connor stood by their table, his smile revealing his teeth as he radiated a cheerful aura.

As he spoke, Connor pulled out his phone, scrolling through the photos after placing it on the table. "These are all pictures I've taken," he said, flipping through them leisurely. "They may not be the best, but the Aurora is truly stunning!" Lenora and her companions all leaned in to view the photo displayed on the phone.

The photograph depicted a deep blue sky, dotted with countless stars. A brilliant green Aurora streaked across it, its beauty unparalleled.

Sophia exclaimed in astonishment. "You're being way too modest; the pictures you've taken are absolutely stunning!"

Connor scratched his head bashfully. "The Aurora was so breathtakingly beautiful that even a person like me, with no photography skills, managed to capture it like this."

Upon hearing Connor's words, Lenora was filled with anticipation for the moment she would see the Aurora

"What are you planning to do after your meal?" Sophia asked.

"We're going skiing! Do you want to join us, miss?" Connor's eyes lit up with anticipation as he glanced at Lenora, then turned his gaze to Sophia.

Sophia gave Lenora with a mischievous look. "How about we go skiing? Anyway, we have to wait until nightfall for the Aurora, and we still have a few days ahead of us, so there's no rush."

Fiona was also looking at Lenora. "Sounds like a good idea. Nora, what do you think?"

With a smile gracing his face, Connor gazed intently at Lenora,

Lenora looked up to see three hopeful faces staring back at her. After considering for a moment, she nodded in agreement. "Alright, let's go skiing then."

When it came to skiing, she had only ever seen it online and was quite eager to give it a try.

Connor began to laugh joyously, revealing a set of perfect teeth that gave him an adorable look. "I'll go tell my classmates right away. We can all go together later!" he said.

After he finished speaking, he left in a state of excitement.

Watching his retreating figure, Sophia wore a naughty grin on her face. Turning to Lenora, she said, "It seems like fate really is playing its part for us to run into each other like this." Lenora just chuckled lightly and didn't comment.

She understood what Sophia implied, but she genuinely didn't have any particular interest in Connor..

Back at Galaxy Hay, Zachary slowly opened his eyes, his head throbbing with a hangover as if it was about to explode

He closed his eyes in frustration, reaching up to massage his temples in an attempt to relieve the ringing

Only when his headache had somewhat subsided did Zachary open his eyes. He stared at the ceiling listlessly while his hand gently massaged Cotton, who was sound asleep in his arms.

He dreamt of Lenora calling him, expressing concern for him.

With that thought in his mind, a trace of bitterness flickered in Zachary's eyes

Only in my dreams would the behave this way toward him. That is the only place I can replace relief from the pain of Janging for her.

He missed her deeply.

His longing for her grew uncontrollably within his hear. Every time he closed his eyes, her face filled his mipod

Only when alcohol numbed his brain, could he replace peace in sleep.

At

that moment, the ring of his phone interrupted his train of thought.

Zachary picked it up from the bedside table, noticing that the incoming call was from Miles. He swiped to ""Hello?"

His voice was raspy, clearly indicating that he had just woken up.

"Mr. Fuller, I have news from over there,"

Upon hearing this, Zachary sprung up from the bed, startling Cotton awake. "Go on."

"According to Mrs. Fuller's classmates there, she arrived at the school in mid-September. She spent the first term studying diligently. However, she was only present for the first two months of the second term. After that, she took a long-term medical leave and was absent for the rest of the term. It wasn't until the term ended that she returned to school. She had lost a considerable amount of weight and appeared as though she was recovering from a serious illness."

Zachary fell silent, his thin lips pressed tightly together. The hand holding his phone gradually tightened, gripping it with increasing force.

He was replaceing it increasingly difficult to make excuses for Lenora, to argue that the doctor had made a misdiagnosis.

Inside him, a storm of emotions raged, one that was as fierce as a tempest. The beast that had been cornered within suddenly went mad, yearning to break free from its cage.

Zachary gritted his teeth, his free hand clutching the blanket. It was the only way he could restrain himself

from the urge to smash his phone.

"Who was that man?"

Through the phone, Miles could distinctly hear the tension in Zachary's voice.

"Well... our people there have subtly asked almost all Mrs. Fuller's classmates. They all say that she never had a boyfriend, but there were indeed people who pursued her. Currently, there are two suspects. the president of the local Clusian Association, and the other was one of her classmates, a local who was interested in Zosteylor's culture."

"Go on."

"These two were among those who had pursued Mrs. Fuller and are slightly closer to her. The former had! been of great assistan
