Chapter 178 It Seemed She Dreamed Of Zachary

Nellie, the name itself suggested it belonged to a girl.

Zachary was absolutely certain that Lenora had no friend called Nellie.

Recalling the carlier scene, Zachary began to suspect that Nellie was the child Lenora had once given birth

Lenora was fast asleep. She pursed her lips and kept quiet.

Zachary couldn't bear it, he leaned in close to Lenora's ear, and softly asked, "Nora, who is Nellie?"

"Who is Nellie..." Lenora murmured softly.

"Right, who is Nellie?"

"Nellie is.

Halfway through Lenora's speech, she abruptly clutched her forehead, curling up her body. Her face twisted in agony as she groaned in discomfort. "My head hurts so much! It's so painful!" Zachary quickly reached out to help massage Lenora's temples. He softly said, "If you can't remember, then don't strain yourself. Just get some good sleep."

After a long while, Lenora finally calmed down, falling into a deep sleep,

Zachary gazed at the peacefully slumbering face of Lenora, his eyes deep and thoughtful.

He helped Lenora tidy up her clothes, covering her with a blanket. He then sat by the bed for a while before finally getting up to leave.

At six o'clock the following morning, the sky outside was still dark. Lenora groggily opened her eyes, head throbbing as though it was about to split open. She closed her eyes again, resting for quite some time before she mustered the strength to sit up.

She strained to recall the events of the previous night, only to realize that her memory was fragmented due to excessive drinking. She couldn't remember anything. She vaguely remembered, it seemed as though she had dreamt about Zachary

At that moment, she looked down and saw herself dressed only in therinal underwear. She assumed it was Fiona and the others who had helped her undress. After freshening up, she spent some time on her phone. Around seven, she made her first call to Sophia.

No one answered.

She dialed Fiona's number once again.

Still, no one answered.

After having had too much to drink and not enough to eat the day before, Lenora was now ravenous, her stomach growling in protest. Thus, she decided to head to the hotel restaurant for breakfast.

As soon as she stepped out, Lenora caught a glimpse of a figure darting past the end of the corridor. The silhouette seemed to resemble Zachary

Her breath hitched momentarily, but by the time she managed to refocus her gaze, the figure had already vanished.

Lenora couldn't help but rub her eyes.

Could it be that she was hallucinating?

Perhaps she wasn't fully awake yet.

After having a warm and light breakfast, Sophia and Fiona gradually woke up.

They had planned to go on a night drive to chase the lights, but instead, they all ended up passed out

drunk.

Today, they picked up where they left off, driving themselves to Summer Island.

Moreover, one could see the Northern Lights from both Summer Island and Capston Island.

Sophia had booked a rental car online. After they checked out from the hotel and picked up the car, they set off for Summer Island.

Sommary, Sirmoor Island, also known as Summer Island, was located at the westernmost point of Kayton Island, north of the Arctic Circle. Beginning from November, this small island would plunge into polar night, a period of darkness that lasted for two months. Starting from May, there was also the onset of the polar day which would last for two months.

Hence, this little island was also known as the Isle without Time.

Due to the disruption of the usual flow of time, the locals would sleep based on their level of fatigue, rather than adhering to the traditional cycle of rising with the sun and resting at sunset.

The island wasn't heavily populated, and along the coast, a variety of beautifully crafted cottages were constructed.

An hour later, after crossing a grand bridge, they arrive on Summer Island.

The sky here was dim, even though it was in the state of polar night, it wasn't pitch black like the nights in Jacaster. Instead, it was more akin to dusk, devoid of the sun, hazy and somber, but it didn't hinder visibility.

The island was a vast expanse of white, blanketed by heavy snow. It was as if they had stepped into a world of pure white.

Looking around, they were surrounded by an endless expanse of snow-capped mountains, a vast canvas of pure white. 2/4

They had checked into a cottage hotel located by the sea. The view from their window was nothing but the

ocean.

It was said that here, simply pushing open the window would reveal the Northern Lights.

They set down their luggage, joyfully sprinting to the seashore. Treading upon the vast expanse of white sand, they excitedly snapped photos. They strolled along the coastline, capturing images of charming little cabins, completely oblivious to the cold and losing track of time.

By the time they came to their senses, it was already well past two in afternoon.

Lenora and her friends returned to the hotel for lunch.

Upon arriving at the hotel restaurant, Lenora went to get some food when she suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure.

Upon closer examination, she exclaimed in surprise, "Elijah?"

Elijah turned around, raising an eyebrow in amusement. "What a coincidence," he said with a smile.

Though he said so, there wasn't a hint of surprise on his face.

"It's quite a coincidence, I didn't expect you guys to be here too."

"This place is pretty famous, my friend just wanted to come and check it out."

Lenora glanced behind Elijah, yet she didn't spot the legendary handsome friend she'd heard so much

about.

Elijah understood her implications and explained with a playful tone, "He wanted to clear his mind, so he went for a walk."

"Oh, when do you plan on leaving?"

"It's still uncertain, depends on my friend."

"After this, will you go straight back to your country, or do you have other travel plans?"

"Depends on my friend," Elijah repeated.

"We're going to Capston Island later. Do you guys want to come?"

Elijah hadn't expected Lenora to invite them, a flicker of surprise flashing in his eyes.

He loosely clenched his hand into a fist, raising it to his mouth to clear his throat. "I'll ask my friend when I get back, how about you add me on WhatsApp? I'll let you know later."

"All right. After scanning the code, Lenora sent the request. Suddenly, she looked up and asked, "Elijah, do you know me?"

Subconsciously, Elijah nodded.

He looked up, meeting Lenora's inquisitive gaze, and calmly explained, "I've seen you on the news before."

"All right."

Lenora watched as he walked away, a flicker of doubt flashing in her eyes.

She always found Elijah to be somewhat peculiar, though she couldn't quite pinpoint what made him so.

After lunch, Lenora and her friends ventured to the snowy slope behind the hotel.

There stood a somewhat lower snow-capped mountain, its geographical location was exceptional. From atop, one could overlook the entire panorama of Summer Island.

Dressed heavily, it was a struggle to walk through the snowy terrain. Halfway up, Lenora was panting from exhaustion, drenched in sweat.

The trio supported each other, step by step, and finally managed to climb up the snowy slope.

Lenora stood atop, looking down at the entire Summer Island beneath her. The cold wind hit her face, instantly blowing away all her exhaustion.

At that moment, Elijah arrived at the door of the room next door. He knocked and entered, laughing nonchalantly. "Guess who I just ran into?" he asked.

Zachary gave him a casual glance.

Do I even need to guess?

"Just now, Lenora mentioned that they're planning to visit Capston Island and asked if I wanted to join. She even added me on WhatsApp," he said as he sat on the sofa, thoughtfully stroking his chin. "What do you think, could she possibly be interested in me?" Zachary's face darkened. He kicked him in the shin. "Narcissist."

He glanced at Elijah again, his mind couldn't help but wander. Elijah was indeed good-looking, it was a pity that he had done time.

However, Lenora was unaware, just in case she really hid feelings for Elijah....

The mere thought of this possibility made Zachary's temples throb.

Jonas, Connor, Elijah....

He really wanted to eliminate all the men around her!

Elijah chuckled. "I suggested asking my friend, but I knew you wouldn't agree. So, how about this? You follow us from behind, while I join them?"

Zachary gave Elijah a look that was as sharp as a knife.

Elijah was merely jesting. "I'll reject her later."
